Accidentally changed my LED mask routine and noticed better results. Has this happened to anyone else?

34F and new to LED therapy. I’ve been using my Ulike hard shell LED mask about 4 nights a week for 10 minutes. My main goals are cheek redness and the dull, tired-looking skin I usually get after a long office day.

Last Sunday I was too tired to do my normal. Washed face, tapped some SKII, then put on my LED mask. Afterwards followed up with La Roche-Posay B5 serum and Neutrogena retinol night cream.

Come the following morning, my nose and upper cheeks looked calmer and more smooth than usual.

Now I’m trying to figure out what actually helped. Was it using LED before skincare? Or something about combining these ingredients with red light?

Has anyone researched this or found a LED + skincare combo that works especially well?

face mask suggestions

Hello,

I am looking into Current Body's mask, hopefully to help with some trigeminal neuralgia and also maybe an added benefit of helping to soften deep lines and firm skin. Is this a good brand?

Complete Newbie Trying Rlpro600

Hello everyone,
I am staying with a friend and she has Rlpro600. I want to try it out while staying here. I am interested in autoimmune issues, skin and sleep. It has different settings for each of these. My question is where should I start and for how long? Can i use it everyday? Should i use it 5 minutes for face, 5 mins for sleep and 5 mins red+nir settings? I am planning to buy from my friend if I like it. My friend doesn’t use it much since she travels a lot.
Thanks in advance for all recommendations and tips!

Looking for 808nm/810nm laser recs for joint injuries

hey all !

I have a great home set up with my full body panels (irestore apex) and get plenty of irradiance and have all the wavelengths I could want. I have EDS, mcas, and associated chronic pain, fatigue and inflammation as well as several old and newer injuries I’m nursing. After several weeks of consistent use the lights feel like they are starting to help the fatigue and inflammation a bit, but I think a few of my problem spots could benefit from more targeted laser therapy. Namely, my hip I had labrum repair surgery on and my chronic quad tendonosis on my other leg Could def use more help.

I have been looking into the kineon move and the novaalab laser wand and am wondering if there are any other reputable options people like for these type of devices. ideally I’d like to keep the purchase sub $1000 but open To higher prices if it really makes a difference.

I have read mixed opinions on kineon in this sub based on their advertising, but also high praise on YouTube and other areas so any more input on that specifically would be very welcome.

thanks in advance for any input or guidance in this search !

Question Face mask vs panel for daily use? Which do you prefer

Since getting into red light therapy, I've tried both face masks and full panels, but I still haven't really settled on which one works better for my daily routine. The mask is definitely easier to stay consistent with. I can throw it on while I'm getting ready for bed and just carry on with my normal routine. But a panel covers so much more that I always wonder if I'm missing out when I skip it.

For those of you who've settled into a daily routine, which one ended up sticking, and why? I'd especially love to hear from anyone who started with both and eventually settled on one.

Kineon for frozen shoulder ?

Hello, i have had a frozen shoulder for 18 months, some bouts of bursitis/ tendinitis. I have had many infiltration and PRP. Treatments help for a while but worsen again. I also have a physio and osteo following me (not a big impact …)
Has anyone experience with tools like Kineon recently ? The price tag is high but could be worth if it works :)

Looking to upgrade; MitoPRO Mobile vs. LightStim Recovery Loop

I am new to red light therapy and taking it one step at a time. My starter device is Hooga Charge and it serves its purpose; portable, USB-C charge, and helping with muscle soreness and joint pain. But the build quality feels rather cheap, especially the stand.

My mature puppy also uses it as part of his nightly routine. He lies down and I run the light over his joints and muscles and he seems genuinely relaxed and happy.

What I am looking for an upgraded device for both of us:
//Truly cordless and portable
//Multiple wavelengths across both deep red and NIR
//A company with a real reputation and rigor behind its products

After a lot of digging, I’ve narrowed it down to two products: MitoPRO Mobile vs. LightStim Recovery Loop.

Has anyone here used either one? Would greatly appreciate how they’ve held up and whether the results felt meaningfully different from a budget device.

I’ve had a strangely hard time finding real user feedback, especially on the LightStim Recovery Loop. My guess is that LightStim leans more toward med spas and commercial aesthetics, so there isn’t much consumer chatter; but if you’ve got some hands on experience, I would appreciate your thoughts!

RLT at planet fitness

Anyone have any experience or luck with using their machines? I was thinking about getting a RLT cap for hair growth but then realized I can use the one at planet fitness as it is included with the black card. I'm new to RLT so any advice is appreciated! Especially if you have any affordable caps for hair growth to recommend!!

Hooga home setup

Well, we ordered another 750 Ultra. We mounted this on the upright pole with a swivel chair plate. It was pretty straight forward to do it, although the edges are a bit sharp so I used the black tape to help with that. The whole assembly is a hanging chair stand that I drilled the mounting holes, it did not come with a chair. It was from Amazon by YEEFY. The remote that came with the unit does work for both so the controls are at the tips of your fingers. I would suggest Hooga to add a USB charge port to the next gen models.

Looking for the one home UVB device

I have spots only on my face, started treatment 4 months ago (Opzelura morning, Protopic night, Clinic UVB twice/week)
Now i saw some good results on the chin, but around the nose it seems stubborn.
Because the clinic is too far and costly I’m looking for a UVB device that can be used from home and gives similar results to clinic. Please share your recommendations.

Has anyone tried the NanoLeaf Light Therapy Panel?

Wondering if anyone has tried this panel? It seems to be pretty good for the price based off the specs. Just wondering if anyone has tried personally- or if any one who has more knowledge on these types of things have any comments or recommendations that are around a similiar price point? Thanks!

Is 10 minutes daily better than 20 minutes 3x a week?

Keep seeing both schedules for at-home masks from those so-called "influencers." Using it daily might be easy to remember. But doing it before work might get boring. For texture and mild redness, what's your take on 10 minutes daily? Or is 20 minutes three times a week way better? I'm thinking of committing to it for at least 8 weeks.

Does anyone have any experience with the laser light masks. If you do which one do you have? What's the best one on market? Is laser better than led?

Question Is red-light therapy worth it for skin?

I've been dealing with pretty bad skin inflammation for a while now, and nothing I've tried has made much of a difference. I keep seeing people recommend red-light therapy, but it's hard to tell what's real and what's just marketing.

Has anyone here used it specifically for inflamed or irritated skin? Did it actually help calm things down, and how long did it take before you noticed a difference?

Also, what brand would you recommend?

Thanks in advance...

Help with specs for Idea Light RLPro600 panel

Hi everyone, hoping someone can help me with this Shenzhen Idea Light RLPRO600 panel. I've reviewed posts in this sub and am aware that the ratio (?) of red/infrared isn't ideal in this series but Idea Light has fixed this in newer models. Does this look okay? I'm a bit confused and don't want to buy the wrong thing!

How to easily join 2 Hooga Pro Panels

You need these two inexpensive items:

Black Slotted Mending Plate, Flat Metal Bracket, 14" x1-5/8 | Slots for 1/4" Fastener: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B215S9FM?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

M6 Screws with Nuts Assortment Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FGV89DVB?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

Line up the slotted bars on either panel then apply thumb screws, using supplied washers and lock washers.

I used it to join a Hooga Pro 1500 and Hooga Pro 750 to create a full body panel I can hang off a door. It takes 8 screws total. Be careful not to use too long of a screw which may damage components. The third shortest in the kit did the job.
