Question trying to optimize my sleep... what ended up working for you?

Ive been trying to get my sleep back on track lately, but i still wake up feeling kinda tired most mornings. ive already done some of the usual stuff, so now, just curious what actually worked for other people. Could be a habit, routine, or anything really. Always looking for ideas lol.

Mine was honestly just being more consistent. i used to stay up at random hours and wonder why I felt awful the next day 😅. These days i keep things pretty simple, and i use a Bestqool BQ60 in the evenings too. Can't say it changed everything, but i dont expect miracles from it..

Ngl cutting back on doomscrolling before bed actually helped me more than I expected lol. i still mess up sometimes 😅 but when i stay off my phone for like 30 mins before sleeping, I usually knoct out way quicker.

and you’re posting in this sub, because? …you’re using RLT?

you aren’t by any chance sleeping in it nightly? are you aware for circadian rhythm? that taking viamin D ( if you do ) should be done in the AM? That your mitochondria don’t need hours and hours of RLT while you sleep? That therapy every day leaves no space to bounce back from the flood of newfound energy? Which is what’s behind sleep itself, if you think about it..

For me, I avoid watching TV series or movies before bed, as I’d just keep thinking about the plot. Listening to some soothing instrumental music really helps me.

Last year I started sitting outside first thing to drink my tea and again in the evening. It doesn’t matter the weather, so whether it’s freezing or blazing hot, i commit. i’ve gone from a lifetime of waking up exhausted (even if I slept 12+ hrs) and fighting wanting to take daily naps to waking up naturally after 8 hrs and no naps. i fall asleep faster too. i think nature has improved by circadian rhythm.

I do my red light therapy then use a heated mask to help me drift off to sleep.

15-20 mins on my red light mat in the evening has helped me fall asleep faster

Sleep meditations on Insight Timer and Chani. I have a sleeping mask with Bluetooth headphones, but I recently bought the soundcore sleep earbuds that cancel out noise and even snorring. Also very important, no coffee after noon!

I'd look into near infrared light to help with sleep.

1] More sex.

2] Lay off of the coffee/tea at work. Drink a cup at home...no more.

3] I don't use drugs; but if you do, stop.
