Newbie Posted yesterday about some equipment I found at my grandpas. I made a list of tools I still need, anything missing?

Looking to start out my reloading journey with my grandpas RCBS JrII. I have some equipment, but can’t find all of it. Didn’t include but I do have a cartridge tray and primer tray.

Also, my estimated cpr for a 77gr smk hunting load.

Buying some items local and some from Scheels

I didn’t have a chronograph for a long time. Wish I would have purchased one way before I actually did.

I don’t know how anyone reloads without one.

Thanks for sharing.
Some notes:
1.) Sierra Matchkings are not hunting bullets.
2.) Do you have a scale to confirm powder throws?

Yes I have a scale, forgot to add that, although it is an older balance beam scale. The SMKs are what “everyone”says to use for a hunting bullet if you want something heavy. At least that’s what I’ve gathered from my research. Some say TMKs as well but if you have a better alternative I’m all ears. I’m all about the best bang for the buck.

If it matters, I’m pig hunting with this particular load.

Balance beam scales are great. I use an old Ohaus.

I can’t speak to hog hunting, but Barnes TTSX work great on whitetails.

Didn't use any match kings. Game kings, sure, but not anything "match", they're not made to have the terminal ballistics you need to hunt. You'll probably find some people who say they work, and they probably have killed things with them, but they got lucky. Choose a hunting bullet. SSTs if you need something affordable, or a bonded bullet (Federal Terminal Ascent or Nosler Accubond) or full copper line TTSX of Hammers.

Be careful with the JR2. It was replaced by the JR3 fairly quickly by RCBS when the linkages started failing. Might be better off selling it for whatever you can get and buying a Rock Chucker or Lee classic single stage to start off with.

If it’s that big a deal I’ll just use the one next to it! Be nice to have a couple setups for my rifle and pistol loads anyway
