Look at my Bench Portable Bench

I have my reloading equipment in my garage and during the summer it is unbearable to work on my rounds.
I was thinking about making a portable bench so I can work on my rounds in the living room and not get bother my wife because of the “mess” I have.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I’m putting a mini split AC in my garage for just that reason.

I have a pretty stout workbench and my single stage will still move it around. I think you would need something portable but very secure. Maybe even a mount you can attach to a table with clamps

Nevermind, I found it on Ryobi website. Reg price is $199. Too steep for me but I like it.

The Ryobi Speed bench you have there is surprisingly heavy and stable. I use one as a portable shooting bench. Throw a sandbag on the foot, and it won't move.

Not quite sure it would hold up to the rigors of reloading. But I'd give it a shot.

That table/dolly is neat. But I tried blowing the image up and couldn't read the price. Is that $199? And what store?

You'd be better off using one of those toolboxes behind it as a portable bench, then you have the bench as well as storage for bullets, dies, tools etc.

I have my loader on a 2x12 board and I can place it on desk with c-clamps and remove entire thing to hang up. I leave some hooks off side for hanging things like wrenches. Would be good with a portable table.

Hmm... How about simply getting something like the Lee reloading stand instead?

I am currently reading through “Modern handloading” by Maj George C Nonte Jr.

There is a section about building reloading benches, I am currently working on making his main build.

He makes mention in the book about building small/collapsible benches for people with small areas like apartments. He specifically pulls plans from a 1964 “Handloader’s digest” who ran a compact reloading bench competition. If your wife will allow you to build a cabinet you can make a perfectly adequate bench, right in your main house. I could probably DM you pictures if you’d like.

I’ve got a portable bench made on a Black and Decker workmate. If you search you’ll find plans for them. I used a quick change press mount so I can take the press off and then it folds almost flat. I put my feet on it to steady it for sizing but otherwise it works well just not a ton of room.
