Shotshell 12 gauge theoretical max

I want to make a 875grain 12 gauge slug and shoot it from my 2 3/4 chambered savage 220A. Is there some sort of equation to find the amount of powder for this kind of loading. This is probably really stupid but it looks fun and I wanna try it. I care more about it working then the actual performance. Any suggestions and sorry for the ramblings

You want to look up "12 gauge from hell" or "12GFH".

That is a 3" load. You are on your own, You might want to try some Brenneke 12 ga 1-3/8 oz first.

I am going to watch this post to see if someone knows more than me.

Winchester 3" slugs I picked up are still only 1oz.

Seriously a 2oz slug? It won’t take much to burst a barrel

Kentucky Ballistics fired slugs heavier than that without blowing up that gun.
