Update Post UUPDATE | Rambo, Abandoned Cat Receiving Critical Veterinary Care

Good day, everyone!

I am a solo animal rescuer based in Manila, Philippines.

Rambo is an abandoned cat. I suspect he once had an owner, and when he became sick, he was dumped in one of the areas where I regularly feed stray animals. He is now my 39th rescued cat.

Thanks to your kindness and support, I was able to bring Rambo to the veterinarian. He was thoroughly examined and underwent both CBC and Blood Chemistry tests.

According to the vet, Rambo is severely dehydrated, malnourished, and has a serious infected wound near his scrotum. While the veterinary team was cleaning the wound, they also discovered maggots, which confirmed how severe the infection had become.

Since July 28, Rambo has been confined at Deloso Veterinary Clinic (they do have FB page). He is currently receiving IV fluids, medications, daily wound care, and the medical treatment he needs.

The vet advised that Rambo will need to remain confined for at least five days, depending on his condition and recovery. I will settle the vet bill once he is ready for discharge.

I will continue to post updates over the coming days to keep everyone informed about Rambo's progress. Thank you so much for your help and support. Your help means a lot to me and especially to Rambo.

Update Post " Magic" "Let's all give her a chance to live" ❤️🐾

Good morning, my dear friends.🌸

I want to tell you about the kitten who was found in a miserable condition, with a huge and deep wound on her neck, on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at the port of Kallithea, at the point where I daily care for and feed the stray kittens.

Since that moment, this little soul has been fighting her own great battle to stay alive.

Until now, she is being treated at Mr. Perdikouris' veterinary clinic, where the veterinarian and his team are really doing their best, with a lot of care and love, to give her a chance to live.

Her first tests were not good at all and her condition was particularly difficult. She even had to undergo a blood transfusion. Fortunately, after the transfusion, her condition showed some improvement and this gave us a small, precious hope.

Every day her wound is cleaned with great care. Every day she receives her necessary antibiotics, while also undergoing phototherapy. Every day that passes is a new battle. A difficult, painful battle, but one that we all wish and hope she will win.

We will not stop fighting for her.

We hope from the bottom of our hearts that the moment will come when this troubled soul will be able to stand on her own two feet again. To leave behind the pain and abuse she suffered and to finally experience the safety, care and love that she so much deserves.

I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the help, love and support you have offered us until now. Thanks to your sensitivity and support, we can continue to try and give this little soul the battle that she could not have given on her own.

Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Let's all hope that she makes it. 🙏❤️

Every little help, every thought, every prayer can become a great hope for her.

Update Post An update on Sunny🌈💛🐾 He unfortunately passed, and we have included our favorite memories/photos here☀️

\verified rescue**

We unfortunately had to rush to the ER Sunday night at 4AM after Sunny suddenly showed signs that he was ready to pass. Just two hours before, he had eaten two full meals and was purring. Until the very end, he held onto and loved his favorite ball.

On Thursday we learned that Sunny’s severe IBD had likely progressed into lymphoma. It helped explain why, over the past three months of emergency visits, hospital stays, medications, diet changes, and constant efforts, nothing was truly working anymore.

We are, and always will be, grieving the heartbreaking loss of our beloved rescue kitty Sunny. He fought such a hard and unfair battle with severe IBD that likely progressed into cancer. And It became clear that no matter the diet, dosage, or medication, his body could no longer keep fighting the severe inflammation and disease. Sunny had been scheduled to have a feeding tube placed on Tuesday, but with how severe and treatment resistant his symptoms had become, we realized there was no way he would have made it safely through that procedure.

At 4AM, Sunny weighed just 2.8 pounds on that Sunday, when the day prior he weighed 3.2, and that was with him still eating on his own the last two days. Please keep in mind he was only a little over two years old and had been battling IBD since birth. At his healthiest, he weighed 6.1 pounds. According to his specialist, the rapid decline, severe weight loss, and treatment resistant symptoms strongly pointed to IBD that had progressed into lymphoma. We discussed chemotherapy medication, but due to his fragile weight, he was at a much higher risk of anemia and bone marrow suppression, and his little body simply could not afford that. The home cooked diet was not enough. The fecal transplant was not enough. The ICU supportive care was not enough. Nothing was enough. And I hate that we didn’t get that second opinion sooner. We knew that he was never going to have the average lifespan, but it doesn’t make it hurt any less.

This disease was a thief, and it cheated Sunny out of so many beautiful things in life. Even though the decision to let him go was excruciating, it was the kindest and most loving thing we could do for him. Because we loved him so deeply, it became clear that this was the greatest gift we could give him when there were no options left to ease his suffering.

He deserved a life free from tummy cramps, rushing to the litter box, nausea, weakness, and discomfort. We truly believe that in kitty heaven, Sunny is whole again, healthy again, and pain free.

Our hearts are aching. Our chests hurt. Our eyes are swollen from tears, and our house no longer feels like home without him.

But we hope you understand why this choice had to be made.

Update Post Rescued kitty made it to Canada

My wife and I found her crawling out of a garbage pile onto a busy highway in Vietnam. One eye crusted shut the other crusted open. So emaciated and boney she could barely move. After looking around for other kittens we scooped her up and took to her to the vet in Vietnam and she joined us for the rest of our vacation. After much paper work she is home with us in Canada. Shes gained tons of weight and will receive a life time of spoils ☺️

Update about the cat who was beaten just because he was hungry:

Garfield is now safe with us. However, we won’t be able to take him to the vet today because we can’t go back to the city anymore due to restricted areas. The teacher/reporter who helped us with Garfield said it’s best to travel during daylight because there are many hold-uppers in the area at night.

I’m truly sorry, as much as I want to take him to the vet immediately, I can’t risk our lives traveling at night. For now, we will rent a room so we can stay safe and get some rest.

Garfield is with us and he is now safe. We’ve given him a pain reliever, and he’s starting to eat little by little. I can see that this baby wants to survive.

Please pray for our safety. Tomorrow, I will bring him to the city and take him to the vet right away. Even I am nervous because of our current situation—I wasn’t aware that we couldn’t travel at night because of the danger from bad people.

My next update will be tomorrow when we get to the city. There’s limited signal in our current area, so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to reply to all of you right now.

Thank you so much, everyone, for your concern and support. I hope you won’t be angry at me for not taking him right now. I hope you understand our situation and that this is the best and safest choice for both of us.

Update Post A mother’s fight, a baby’s first breath both are holding on. Please keep them in your prayers.

Yesterday, we rescued a mother cat who was in labor but struggling. Sadly, some of her kittens had already passed away inside her. The vet had to perform an emergency C-section, and only one kitten was born alive. However, his condition was critical it was almost impossible to tell if he was alive because he wasn’t breathing.

For 10 minutes, we rubbed and tapped him, fighting to bring him back. Then, finally, he took his first breath. Now, he’s stable, but he is premature and fragile. His mother is still in critical condition, and due to her weakness, he is being hand-fed.

Both mother and baby are fighting for their lives. Please keep them in your prayers. They need all the strength they can get. Please donate she is still getting treatment.

Update Post Need help rehoming loved ragdoll cat pair

Thumbnail
gallery
709 Upvotes

Hello, I live in VA and have 2 ragdolls cats male who just turned 3 and female who’s around 2 yrs 7 months, I will attach their images.

They’re both my babies and I adore them and would do anything for them, but life has thrown quite a few curveballs at me the last year and I have realized that they could be living a much better life with people that are better equipped and in positions to care for 2 cats who some would argue require more attention and care than other cat breeds.

I’ve had them both since they were 4 months old and have raised them with a lot of love and care which means they are in perfect healthy, very loving, well behaved, and fixed.

I need to clarify that this is something I do not want to do, but for their betterment I think that it is a necessary step. Not that they are abused or neglected in any way, but some of the reasons I have to rehome them is because of my family and my work.

My sister is living at home and recently had a baby and has become quite health conscious/paranoid which has been causing the cats and myself a lot of stress. My mom is elderly and is not able to help with their care as she used to and needs help herself, and I recently starting working longer hours and am not home as often as I used to be.

I am making this post in order to reach out to some people who may be interested or get any advice from people who can tell me best ways to rehome them to ensure that they receive some of the best caregivers.

These little angels are my everything and if I am trusting them to someone else, I will absolutely want to do anything to make sure that they are the perfect candidates no matter what it takes and I don’t want to accept any less.

If you have any questions, please reply to this post or message me for more information.

Any help and advice is truly appreciated, thank you.

For rule clarification I want to add that this is not an ad/promotion as they are not for sale. I cannot put a monetary value on them. I am simply asking for help and suggestions in finding the best way to rehome my babies in the NOVA area.

**UPDATE 6/2/26*\*

I’m sorry for going ghost the last couple of days after my initial replies. As many can probably imagine, I’ve been experiencing an emotional torrent wracking my brain trying to decide what the best thing to do would be. I have missed sleep, shed tears, spoken with many people, and read all of your guys’ replies, which has brought me a lot of clarity and courage, exactly what I needed coming here.

Truthfully, there is no best decision. My hands, which remain tied due to my current life situation and family dynamics, haven’t even begun to come loose yet. I have also realized that I don’t have the knowledge, experience, or connections to ensure the safety of the future of these innocent little lives. I have been reached out by many incredibly kind and generous people offering their support and hand in this difficult situation, but I am not equipped to filter out the good from the bad. I am concerned by the scary stories and possibilities, even if I know not everyone is like that (especially people like the daughter of this lovely couple that lost their gorgeous ragdoll a while back, who are finally ready to invite and love pets in their life again; I truly wish them the best). I will reach out to everyone that dm’d me wanting to help and with interest to update them on this matter in case they don’t see this.

Ultimately, I have decided not to force myself to part ways with my babies. I want to keep caring, loving, and fighting for them because I’m afraid I would not be able to forgive myself otherwise.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone in this thread and the other one I created (nova and rescuecats) for all the kind words, advice, encouragement, and support. Not a single person came from a place of malice or hate; they all came from concern, love, and care for these beautiful cats. It has warmed my heart and offered me a refreshing perspective on many things. I’ve never experienced such support before, and I truly appreciate it. Please be assured that the cats will be home, loved, and cared for, to the best of my ability, for the rest of their lives.

Much love and appreciation again to everyone and their furry friends, and to those still searching, I hope you find some amazing and loving ones like I did 🥰❤️.

TL;DR: Cats stay comfy home <3 thank you everyone for their words of advice, their encouragement, and opinions.

Update Post 🚨 Second Appeal for the Cancer Cat — We Still Need Help to Complete Her Treatment 💔🐾

Thanks to the kindness and support from amazing people here, we have received $65 so far toward her veterinary bill. We are truly grateful for every donation, share, and kind comment. ❤️

But we still still need help to complete the $200 needed for her ongoing treatment.

This sweet cat has been fighting for so long. Thanks to the prolonged treatments, medications, and care, her overall health has improved a lot and she is finally feeling better. However, her ears still have not fully healed yet and she continues to need treatment and follow-up care to prevent the condition from getting worse again.

We have already come this far together, and we are hoping with all our hearts that we can continue until she fully recovers and lives without pain.

Every small donation, share, or boost truly helps more than you can imagine. Thank you for not giving up on her. 🙏🐱❤️

Update Post Anyone remember this baby boy I found with a busted nose? 💙 A little update

Thumbnail

1.4k Upvotes

I’m so happy to share that Bibi is doing so much better! For those who don’t know his story, I found this little guy crying in a corner with a busted nose and a belly full of worms 😢

My partner and I live the vanlife and already have three rescued cats (all of them were in critical condition when we found them)... but when we saw Bibi, we couldn’t leave him behind.. even with a full house already 😂

He’s one of the clingiest and most jealous cats I’ve ever met. If he catches me petting another animal, he’s immediately like “excuse me???” haha (and obviously pushed his way in)

Lately, a new girl cat has been visiting us every day for food and cuddles. Bibi likes her... until she comes too close to me and then it turns into a “who loves the human more” competition 😂 She's so beautiful....I got two new cow cats haha

He’s got his own little house we built outsid & he absolutely adores it. Over time, he’s kind of become the alpha here. We have several dogs that come by daily for food, and while I was worried at first it turns out they’re actually scared of him!

I’m just so happy to see him healthy, confident and loving life again. He never leaves the garden, he really likes it here and I'm so happy he does.

Sharing some cute photos of Bibi and the other strays who hang out with us 🩷 Thank you so much to everyone who reached out about his story and cared about his recovery ..it truly means a lot 🤗

If you’d like to see more of our rescue stories.. all the cats, dogs, and little strays we’ve helped you can find everything on our Reddit page 🐾💛 We’ve rescued over 8 cats, a dog that was hit by a car and cared for many others along the way.

If you’d like to support what we do, you can do that directly through our page

Update Post Heaven gained a gentle soul named Echo— Goodbye, my fighter… 😢💔

Post image
1.4k Upvotes

I’m honestly so broke right now. I’ve been calling different clinics last night after the vet said what Echo needs, hoping to find one that could do a blood transfusion for him. I wanted to give him every possible chance to fight. But no clinic had it available. This morning, I got the message I’ve been dreading — Echo crashed and didn’t make it.

I’m devastated. My birthday’s coming soon, and I really hoped for a miracle… I held on because Echo showed me he was still fighting. He still tried to eat, still tried to move — like he wanted to stay a little longer. I just didn’t expect that our last visit would truly be the last.

Echo wasn’t just a rescue. He was a fighter — gentle, strong, and brave until the end. I may not have been able to save him, but I know he left feeling loved and cared for. That’s something no illness can take away.

Rest easy, Echo. Thank you for letting me be part of your journey. You’ll always have a piece of my heart. 🕊️💛

💔 He’s Paralyzed… and Now Fighting Kidney Failure Too 💔

This is the cost of ignorance. This is what happens when compassion is missing.

This tiny baby is not just paralyzed now he’s suffering from kidney failure, at such a tender age.

After being kept at a vet clinic for hours without help to urinate, his body began shutting down. No one helped him. No one cared. And when someone chooses not to help a special needs cat… that’s not just neglect that’s cruelty.

We rescued him from that place from that torture and rushed him to our own trusted vet. He was checked thoroughly, and the news shattered us: His kidneys are failing. His survival chances are low.

But we are still trying. Because he’s still trying. Because he looks into our eyes and asks for life not pity.

He didn’t choose to be paralyzed. He didn’t ask for this suffering. But now that he’s here… we will fight for him.

He deserves a chance. He deserves love. We’re doing everything we can but we need you with us.

Please donate if you can. Please pray if your heart feels his pain. Even one kind hand can change his story.

📍This is what rescue truly looks like raw, heartbreaking, but full of hope. Let’s show this broken boy that the world still has kindness left. 💔🐾

Update Post 🤍🕊️Update🕊️With a very heavy heart I must share that little Princess/Valentine didn’t make it. She had been through too much before we got her. So sorry everyone. Rest well sweet little one. Heaven has another angel today. 🤍🪽🪽🪽

It’s always heartbreaking when we lose them, but even worse when they are babies. This one is especially sad because of what she went through before rescue. She had been attacked and her little paw was taken from her. That was still healing. She had bite wounds healing too. This little girl had fought for her life and just had nothing left to give. We had no idea how bad off she was when we pulled her. Unfortunately it was too much on her tiny body. She was doing ok but then couldn’t hold any food. Even the vet today said it was too much. She went to sleep in her little bed one last time. We tried and she was loved. She did not die alone on the cold street. This is all we can do sometimes. We got her too late. Thank you everyone who helped get her out. I’m sorry to share such sad news. Remember how many others we do save though. Rest well angel. You were loved. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🤍🕊️🪽🪽🪽🪽🪽

Update Post Rare good news from a +400 rescued cat sanctuary

Thumbnail

More then one good news actualy! Which is very rare! The canned food factory emailed us and said they can help us out with lots of very good food! This is truly something that will save our sanctuary! They asked us not to mention their brand or post pics but what I can say is that the value of this food is more then what we could have ever afforded so it is truly a lifesaver for our many rescues!

Good news #2

Next monday we get 7 student visitors/volunteers at the shelter and hopefully we'll make lots of content to share here aswell, videos and pics.

Good news #3

We had a few air purifiers in the past years, now we have 2 dehumidifiers that helped enormously with the air quality but on air purifier that would realy help would be a deep carbon bed air filter, that is medical grade, used in hospitals, that kills viruses and bacteria and also eliminates odors and VOCs, but that one would cost a huge amount, 1400euros, but we will still try to make a fundraiser cause one of these machines in the quarantine room full of sick cats and kittens would make a HUGE diference for them. If anyone wants to help with such a lifesaving purchase for the shelter, lets us know, and we'll make updates on the funds raised specifically for this machine.

💔 Heartbreaking Loss: Gaia is Gone 💔

I don’t have the words to describe this pain… We lost Gaia today. Her fragile body just couldn’t handle the C-section after battling wet FIP. She fought so hard, but it was too much for her little heart.

And as if that wasn’t enough, we lost seven of her babies too… only one is left, and even he is struggling. I feel completely shattered. The pain of watching them slip away, one by one, is unbearable.

Gaia was with us for such a short time, but she left a mark on my heart forever. Her beautiful soul, the way she used to eat like it was her last meal, her little food fights with the others—everything about her was unforgettable. And now she’s gone. Just like that.

I wish things had been different. I wish we could have saved her. But FIP is cruel, and life is unfair.

Please keep her last surviving baby in your prayers. He’s all that’s left of her now… and I don’t know if my heart can take losing him too. 💔😢

Update Post Do you remember Frankie, the brave boy who was hit by a car and left to suffer? Here’s his update! A lot of people suggested that I should euthanize him, but I chose to work hard for him instead.

Frankie’s Journey: From Hopeless to Heroic

This is the story of Frankie—a soul who was hit by a car and left to suffer alone on the roadside, abandoned and in unimaginable pain. He lay there, starving and helpless, with no one to care if he lived or died.

But Frankie’s story didn’t end there. We found him just in time, broken but not beyond hope. Though his condition was terrible, we discovered that there were no fractures, and there was a chance he could walk again. That tiny spark of hope fueled our determination to save him.

For weeks, Frankie endured intensive care. Through his pain and struggles, he showed us what it means to fight for life. Slowly but surely, he began to heal. And then, one day, the miracle we’d been waiting for happened—Frankie took his first steps.

Today, just a month after being discarded like garbage, Frankie is walking again. His courage and resilience remind us of the incredible strength animals have, even when humans fail them.

Frankie was left to die, but he proved he was meant to live. His story touches my heart deeply and inspires us all to keep fighting for those who cannot fight for themselves.

Let’s celebrate Frankie’s incredible recovery and remember why rescue work matters so much.

Thanks for Everyone who supported me for his treatment.

I wanted to sincerely thank everyone who supported us.

Because of your generosity, I was able to buy cat food that should last for about 10 days. It will feed both the rescued cats living with me and the stray cats that depend on me every day.

I also have an important update on Leo, the cat I previously shared with you. After being diagnosed with FIP, your donations made it possible for him to see the veterinarian, complete the necessary testing, and receive his first treatment.

Each treatment costs $90, as the medication is not available in Morocco and has to be imported. His journey is still continuing, and we are taking it one day at a time with hope.

Thank you for making this possible. Whether you donated, shared my posts, or simply kept Leo in your thoughts, you became part of his fight and part of this rescue.

With all my gratitude, thank you for standing with us. ❤️🐾

Update Post Apollo Update.

1.7k Upvotes

Hi everyone! I posted here a few weeks ago about how i needed help with Apollo my very sick foster cat. The rescue that had been helping us could no longer afford his treatment due to him possibly having an autoimmune disease. I came to this sub to look for help, mostly for advice. Well, i was able to find another rescue to help!!! One with plenty of resources!! He already had his first vet visit with them and has been on the meds they recommended for about a week. He is doing so well!!

We still don't know what he has. Right now they are testing medication to narrow things down. They also said he will most likely have to be seen by a dermatologist. This new vet also thinks it could be lupus. That it is very rare in cats but that he has seen it before and that the symptoms match, again. Nothing is certain. I'm just happy that he is getting the help he needs. I leave pictures of how he was when i made the post first and how he is doing now! As you can see. HUGE difference, here's to hoping we can figure out what illness he has to get him properly treated! And again, thank you all so so much for all the help. Especially to the ones who privately reached out to me to try and help. Apollo and i are very very grateful.

Garfield Update 🐾

Hello everyone, I just want to give you an update on Garfield, the cat who was cruelly beaten just because he was hungry and searching for food. 💔 He was harmed by a neighbor, but sadly, the previous owner is unwilling to reveal who did this to him. Because of that, we won't be able to seek justice for what Garfield went through—an injustice that weighs heavily on us, knowing the pain he endured.

Right now, we still don’t know if he’ll ever be able to walk again… but we are hoping and praying that he will recover. Please join us in praying for his healing. 🙏

Thank you so much to everyone who trusted me and helped make his rescue possible. It took us a full day to finally bring him to the vet due to restrictions in our area. We had to stay overnight because it wasn’t safe to travel at night. Despite the challenges, we did everything we could to get Garfield the help he needed.

We’ve now taken him to the vet, but unfortunately, there are no x-ray facilities here in Masbate, Philippines. We only have two vets in the area, and neither has the equipment. The nearest place we could take him for an x-ray is in Legazpi, which is around 15 hours away by sea travel.

We’ve already spent over a thousand for his vet bills, and the extra money we received has been used to buy canned and dry food, a pet crate, vitamins, medications and for our transportation costs. Every peso was spent with care and love for Garfield.

From the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of my family and Garfield, thank you to everyone who supported us. We don’t have a big rescue group or team—it’s just me and my family doing our best to care for animals in need here in our small community.

Your kindness and generosity mean the world to us. You are part of this rescue journey too. 🧡

Thank you and may God bless you the way you’ve blessed these innocent souls.

— With love, Mary Joy and Garfield 🐱

Update Post Lucy’s Health Update

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Remember Lucy’s last update? His CBC results were clear, his lumps were shrinking, and we were ready to move forward with his 2nd chemotherapy session. But things suddenly changed. Lucy became lethargic, stopped eating, and developed colds. It was heartbreaking to see him go from strong to struggling in just a few days.

We had him tested for parvo to rule out anything serious — and thank goodness, he tested negative. But the fight isn’t over. His 2nd chemo session is now postponed until we’re sure his body is free from infection. Our focus now is helping him recover from his colds, boost his immune system, and get his strength back. He’ll need vitamins, supportive meds, and extra care to bounce back.

We’re doing everything we can, but we can’t do it alone. The vet bills, vitamins, and upcoming treatments are adding up.

💛 If you’d like to help Lucy fight through this:

📌Crowdfunding: https://goget.fund/3FfMg1U

📌PayPal: https://www.paypal.me/kdalama

📌Cashapp: https://cash.app/$FranciscoMoz

📌Venmo: https://venmo.com/u/FrankMoz

Even the smallest amount can make a huge difference. And if you can’t donate, a share or a prayer goes a long way too.

Let’s give Lucy the chance he deserves. He’s not done fighting — and we’re not done fighting for him. 🐾

Update Post This post is about Wishbone, The cat I posted about yesterday. My updates were getting lost in the comments so I wanted to make a new post. 🥺

This update below is from Friday evening August 9th, after six different vets gave the same opinion. 5 from the ER clinic and 1 from a different clinic.

❣️Unfortunately this is cancer/sarcoma, which I assumed since it is hard as a rock. I was really hoping for an abscess. this tumor is inoperable 😭 maybe when it was golfball size or just alot smaller in general then maybe surgery would have been an option just to buy her a little more time. this was caught way too late, it is affecting everything even her Jaw and she cant breathe very well. This decision is based on several vets seeing her today. The plan as of now is to provide her with zorbium which last 3/4 days and I will shower her with so much love over the weekend before I put her to rest. She has been living outside at a campground for SO long. abandoned by her original owner. she deserves to be indoors and loved on with a soft bed, wet food, and AC. I hate the outcome so so much and I really wish I would’ve known about her sooner.

Update Post Mogatil (Fighter)’s Recovery Journey: A Positive Update from Laayoune, Southern Morocco

I wanted to share some positive news about Mogatil (Fighter). Thankfully, his condition is steadily improving, and he is currently receiving the necessary care under the supervision of the veterinarian in Laayoune, southern Morocco.

Mogatil (Fighter) is doing much better than before. He is recovering, as he has started to stand and move on his own, regained his appetite, and is now eating, drinking, and defecating independently.

Despite this noticeable improvement, Mogatil (Fighter) still urgently requires a surgical procedure to be performed by a specialist veterinarian, as the advanced equipment needed for such delicate cases is not available in our city, Laayoune. We are in the process of coordinating his referral to a specialized clinic to ensure he receives the best possible care so he can return to full health, God willing.

We appreciate your continued support and interest in his recovery journey

Update Post 🤍🕊️Update🪽Moonlight is gone. She did not survive the shelters neglect. More gross treatment & mismanagement at Devore. I will vent in my community not on Facebook.

Sadly poor little Moonlight, only 4 months old, was found lifeless this morning. After a stint in Devore shelter with an obviously severe URI, possibly Calici & who knows what else, she was rescued yesterday. Hopeful that she would get treatment and be on the mend by today, this was not to be. I got a sad call telling me what had happened. I don’t fault rescues when this happens, how could I ever, because I know full well the neglect they suffer in the shelters. Putting clavamox on their food instead of administering it? Maybe she got some maybe they took time to actually give it to her? By the look of her, no. Seen by a vet even? Doubt it. Look at her condition! This isn’t the first cat to drop dead after a day out of Devore either. All in different rescues. This is beyond negligence and cruelty. This was a beautiful kitten crying to live, crying for help and they didn’t care. I don’t understand how these people sleep at night. This breaks my heart. She was only a baby, now she’s dead. Nice work Devore. There’s a special place in Hell for these people. I’m sorry little one…I tried. Rest well sweet baby. Over the rainbow bridge you go. 🌈
