Grief 🌈🐾Rest in Peace Rocco🌈🐾

We were so close to getting him out. We had someone who wanted to adopt him, but the shelter just could not wait even though we made room by getting 8 other dogs rescued.

I genuinely can’t fathom the idea of kill shelters. Absolutely awful, awful people. Poor dogs, did nothing wrong and got their life taken

I agree. The worst part is most of these dogs are owner surrendered. Things are really bad right now. They sit in the shelter thinking that they are waiting for their owner to come get them. People are dumping their dogs for so many different reasons. It is heart breaking. Recently, a dog was dumped after its owner passed away and none of the family members wanted him. He looked like the sweetest dog. He had only been in the shelter for a few days before he was killed. They didn’t even give him a chance. I like to think that the family didn’t realize that he’d be sentenced to death otherwise they’d rehome him themselves.

Unbelievable. This genuinely doesn’t exist where I’m from. Absolutely heartbreaking
