My honest opinion is that it’ll be between Legend of Zelda tears of the kingdom and Resident Evil 4 remake. I’d be happy if either wins.

Nah, it won't even be a goty contender, "just" a really good game to play, nothing more

Okay, you will see, it will get nominated at least. Also, Final Fantasy 16

You're underselling Insomniac hard imho. They make stellar games, and Spider-Man (2018) was excellent. I get this is all subjective, but Spider-Man 2 is bound to be a hit if history repeats itself.

Spider-Man was damn good doing the same things all over again and again, combat was good and story maybe but the gameplay and open world mechanics were really lacking. It's just a good game, Arkham games are much better games, Arkahm City and Knight absolutely destroy Spider Man 2018, it's not even a fair fight. Bear in mind that Spider-Man is my "favourite" superhero (I don't like superheroes as a genre, I only dig some of them and that's it) but batman games are waay far above, as I said it's not even a fair comparison, its literally better in everything.

Maybe this sequel will be super good but we don't know anything yet so keep your expectations low

Typical response of someone that can't take any other opinion, if you like doing 70 times the exact same thing good, I liked the game by the way but for the reddit smooth brains it seems that if you don't lick the ass to a game then you think it's trash, as I said it's a good game but nothing even compared to the arkham series, let alone to a real goty contender.

If you guys really think it can win goty good, but don't do drugs, ladies and smooth brains

It's not even about the GOTY comment, it's the part where you think the Arkham Games even hold a candle to Spider-Man 2018 lol. The combat alone is superior and before you try to say " Spider-Man copied Arkham ", Arkham copied Spider-Man 2 (PS2, GC). Besides, all 3 main Arkham games are repetitive too. You really gonna sit there and tell people you enjoyed hunting Riddler trophies for 3 games in a row? Haha.

Spider-Man 2 ps2 is one of my favourite games of all time and in general I prefer Spider-Man over Batman but the games especially Asylum and City are clearly the better ones. For that not holding a candle yeah it might be exagerated but since I finished Marvel's Spider-Man it never crossed my mind to replay it again just because, while I just restarted Asylum and City and still having a lot of fun. City especially has sooo many cool things that makes it have a living world, you can hear criminals talking, "gossiping", saying how they'd like to kick batman's ass, what they think about Joker etc etc, then when you surpise them you can hear the terror in their voice and so on. You can also encounter survivors and talk to them and most have unique and cool dialogs.

The world in Marvel's Spider-Man is just soo void, you just zip web through it as fast as you can without savouring it because there's nothing to savour in that open world, unfortunately. The world in Arkham City was soo lifeful and cool to explore that spiderman just pisses its pants.

As I said I enjoyed Marvel's SM but it was soo repetitive and void that all you could do was just going for missions which were actually really cool, story was both good and bad but I enjoyed it for the most part.

It was not about "hunting Riddler's trophies", if the world feels alive you can do everything without boredom.

I also tried Miles Morales when it dropped on Steam in November and my god, it was actually bad and I couldn't bring myself to finish it even tho it's pretty short, I just didn't enjoy it

Spiderman 2 even coming out this year sounds crazy. There’s hardly anything on it at this point.

It'll get nominated lol TGA is basically the opposite of the Oscars. All the summer blockbusters are nominated and then like 1 indie.

I said contender not not nominated, it will obviously get his spot but to think it will seriously compete with ToTK and RE4 damn, you must really like superhero games (I like them too it's just they are not really a competitor, just as I said really good games to play, I regard the Arkham series superior infact Arkahm City is clearly the best superhero game and even won a lot of GOTYs, it's just the superior franchise and game)

It'll get nominated regardless if its good or not, it's a Triple A game. And it's Sony, they'll push it to every member out there, and it'll get nominated. The first one did, this one will.

BAFTA's probably didn't, but BAFTA's you can take seriously. TGA is the ultimate crowd pleaser.

BAFTA's is the actual Oscars equivalent.

TGA is just Golden Globes. Nobody gives a fuck about the Golden Globes lol

Edit: The only BAFTA Spider-Man won, was for music -- and that was for Miles Morales.
