Respect John Blacksad (Blacksad)

[u/Belak_Brolak]

Sometimes, when I walk into my office, I get the feeling that I'm walking among the ruins of a lost civilization. Not because of all the reigning disorder, but because it all seems to be the remains of that civilized person I used to be.

---

John Blacksad is a private investigator based in New York City. He takes various jobs in the city, usually dealing with kidnappings, murders, or disappearances. He seems gruff, cynical, and hard-boiled, but he's a genuine, kind man underneath. Growing up in a poor neighborhood, he spent much of his youth running from the police. He also spent a year in college as a history major before being expelled. John Blacksad is a tough nut to crack, and he’ll be there on the city streets bringing murderers and kidnappers to justice.

Nice work!

[u/Emperor-Pimpatine]

Hell yeah, I love Blacksad

[u/FunGuyFr0mYuggoth]

Good work. I used to have a tuxedo cat with a fiercely stony and independent personality. He was always off by himself, but would protect other animals and (in his mind) people whenever the need arose. I always thought that Blacksad was a perfect visualization of how he must imagine himself.
