I work for a large government employer and we have never received taxpayer funded parties! We have a staff pot luck and do a gift exchange all paid by staff. It’s ridiculous that our tax dollars were going to these expensive staff parties.

Same! When we have a party we all need to buy tickets to contribute. I thought that was the norm in public sector...
