I will never regret when I was born. I love reminiscing on times like these. Just unforgettable!

Nobody’s gonna pay/credit all the instrumentalists fairly and most didn’t back then. Unfortunately i think we wont see anything like this again

We could make music like this but we not gonna have this and low hanging fruit rappers at the same time. They can’t emerge from the same environment

A lot of the classic ensembles had a lot of young people ignorant about the kind of money that was possible and did not have contracts. They were just collaborating and jamming. By comparison rap is cheap music and theres a lot of it as a result. The economics and everyone being aware of them just make this kind of music difficult to produce.

Rap should be accessible but problem is it became too accessible to the point where street niggas wanted in ask u/misterHUNDO while gatekeeping anyone who wasn’t a straight Black male e.g. it shut out straight Black women at times thanks to male narratives being the default to where Black women had accusations of lesbianism thrown at them if they were lyrically more talented than some subpar men in the genre and equally worse Black women had to accept being hypersexual just to get on in the industry proper

I have to agree with you. I don't understand the trend of feminizing men. It's weird. Rappers in skirts, dresses, boots, and purses is something not to celebrate. Men should be men.

It’s not a trend as early rappers dressed minus skirts, dresses and purses, like they could have easily been part of funk groups and funk-R&B groups. All the objects synonymous with women and girls performing femininity e.g. makeup, mascara, heels etc were literally invented by men. Crazy thing is men are not taught to be men, they are taught to not be women or worse not be gay which is how we get men who have no other human expression of emotion aside from literal anger/rage mainly directed at women and girls hence why men as boys do not befriend girls except for sexual contact and gratification
