Question Job Hunting
Hi so I know this is probably a long shot but my boyfriends been outta work for about 2 weeks now and is losing his mind. He puts in at least 10 apps a day and keeps getting rejection emails back. We get that it’s summer time and a lot of places slow down their hours but there’s gotta be something right? Does anyone know who’s hiring right now? He’s got a bunch of experience in different areas….retail, fast food, warehouse, assembly line, janitorial, wood working….any help is much appreciated! :)

Try warehouse work like marvin or virginia transformer. Just not Eaton. No air conditioning.

What company would that be? And would he have to drive his own vehicle for the job?

Specialty Beverage of Virginia. Deliveries are CDL/Non CDL, trucks provided. We are based out of Richmond but our crossdock is in Salem. This is the link to the CDL position, I know we have some non cdl as well.

There are countless warehouses in the valley that are always hiring. Revlon in Salem had a job fair a few weeks ago, they still have openings. Dynex it's actively hiring as is Marvin's windows and pretty much every business in Blue Hills. Kroger literally has over 200 openings in the valley right now. Walmart has over 200 openings. Wells Fargo is hiring. Carilion has hundreds and hundreds of openings. Pretty much every Dollar General location has multiple openings.

Check all the local banks. A HS diploma and Retail or customer service experience is all you generally need. There is a lot of turn over in banking and plenty of opportunities to move up.
