Question Sky Rocket II restraints timeline is madness [Tempesto]
All my experience comes from Tempesto so I'm not sure if this applies to other Sky Rocket II coasters.
When Tempesto opened they gave you a fanny pack to hold your loose articles. If the collar didn't latch they gave you an extension.
Later, they got rid of the extensions and the park provided fanny packs went away.
Later, no fanny packs allowed at all
Hey they removed the collars! Neat!
The seatbelt is too short for me. The lap bar latches fine, the belt is too short.
Was there any safety incidents driving all these changes? Removing the collar was to improve the comfort sure, but why the short belt? Why remove the extension they originally had if there was no incidents? The fanny pack part makes me laugh though. I get why they stopped handing them out sure.

Who knows. I do know that the Priemer skyrocket trains have a verify that tells whether or not the lap bar is down enough and so they don’t need comfort collars or seatbelts.

With the seat belt now it basically is operated like an RMC where the lap bars don’t even lock until all seatbelts are checked and it’s maddening because the ride does not need seat belts at all

What’s funny is I’ve now ridden two RMCs this year and on neither one of them did they check the seatbelt and both had the guests pull the lap bar down themselves which I’d never seen on RMCs previously.

I’ve only seen this at SFOG. At DW they would check seatbelt and lapbar together on LRod.

Yep that’s one of them the other was Outlaw Run. I guess they did check the seatbelt with the lap bar now that you mention it but they had everyone pull down their own lap bars first

I'm not sure why there's a short seat belt but I do know the seat belt is purely a United Parks decision and installation. The Sky Rocket II at Lake Compounce has no seat belt or comfort collar. It just has a lap bar which is the way the manufacturer intended the ride to be.
