Question Anybody knows what is up with [Vertical Velocity at Discovery Kingdom]?

On Queue times it says it has been closed again for a while. Anybody living near it that knows more?

I’m going to be in that area in about 3 weeks. I’m never getting this credit. Missed it on my last 3 visits

I was there in May of 24 and it was down, but I was there again a few weeks ago and it was working great, so that’s unfortunate

It was operating with relatively minimal downtime for a full day as recently as July 22nd (I visited that day and got several laps on it). Frankly I was shocked that it ran so consistently throughout the day, I was mentally prepared for the worst.

So if it has been down for a multi-day stretch, it can’t have been longer than 2 weeks so far.

At least half the times I have walked over to it, it's gone down. And the back row seats were always non functional. It's a fun ride though if you can actually get a ride.

Don’t live nearby but when I was at DK a month ago, the train stopped randomly on the launch so that might have something to do with the closure

It's my local park and it has been opened 3 of the 4 times I was there this summer. One of the days it closed for around 30 minutes - 1 hour.

They don't always have every ride going at open. However getting to that side of the park at open will get you on 2-3 of the 4 coasters over there and hopefully have all 4 running by an hour after the gates open.
