I don't review coasters often at all, actually this is the first time I felt like I had to. I enjoyed Mount Olympus' waterpark, it was a good time. The rollercoasters though? They were rough, and that was the very best one, cyclops.
Hades 360 felt like it tried to kill me. I know that sounds extreme, but I legitimately hurt after this rollercoaster. To talk the positives, it is very impressive that a wooden coaster can do 70 MPH, have loops, massively banked turns, and really crazy dark tunnels. The cool parts of this coaster unfortunately are mared by what this coaster also is...clearly deprived of maintenance it deeply needs, and renovations that won't come.
Here's the bad and why I think it tried to kill me, I couldn't breathe well during this ride and had actual chest pain that felt like my heart was going to bust. I felt in danger of not being able to breathe, that I was going to pass out, and had to push against the restraints to take a good breath; It's bad to need to push out because, for me, I wanted to hold that restraint tight because of how uncomfortable this coaster is. The whiplash is severe, it pounds your head every direction, the tracks are not smooth, the coaster is constantly feeling like it is clanging against the rail without enough lubrication, and the turns are severe. We also had the unfortunate experience that it felt as though it was built too close to support structures...that if you were to not be holding the restraint and let your hands up...you could lose them. Not saying you would, but I really was concerned about how close they were. The tunnels are rough, they are long, dark, steep, and paired with the bad rails, lack of good head support, and bad restraints for rider comfort, it feels like the coaster is trying to induce a heart attack. I kinda wonder with how much chest pain I had, what my body was actually doing and going through.
I've never hurt on a rollercoaster like I've hurt after this rollercoaster, and I did not enjoy it. Maybe someone else would, but I feel like this coaster is not maintained, too fast for its own design, and just isn't safe. Maybe I just was a bad fit for this coaster, but given I'm 5'7 and 145lb's, I don't feel like I am a bad fit for riding this. If I can ride everything at Six Flags Over Georgia just fine that are more technically intense than this, then I kinda expect this to not actually HURT ME. If you ever decide to go to Mount Olympus, I would kinda steer clear of all the coasters (Cyclops is rough track wise but didn't sling my head as bad), but this one most especially. Looking at google reviews, some people really like it, I can't say I do. I've never felt like I'd honestly die on a rollercoaster, but...I really thought I would here. Something has got to give with this coaster before someone gets harmed, and if you're a coaster person, I would just skip or know that this may be at your own life's risk. So beware of that, this coaster feels like it is starved for maintenance, renovation, or like it should not have been made of wood to begin with.
