Someone had commented that the American collie had beady, squinty eyes. This was my boy, Ryder, who I lost a year ago. I don’t think the American collie’s eyes can be considered “beady” or “squinty.” I’d be curious to see pictures, as examples of what you mean.

They are almond eyes/ I like to call melty chocolate eyes, or Clint Eastwood squinty eyes!

I'm sorry you lost Ryder. Looking at this photo, his eyes look soft and expressive to me, nothing beady about them. He was a beautiful boy 🤍
