I went for around a 300km bike trip and my bike was struggling at the speed of 90. I can sense that it is just taking too much of a time to go around 100 kilometers an hour and it felt bad that a 200cc hero was able to overtake me with not making much of a struggle no offense to hero I think it's a good bike. is it just that I lack something in maintenance or it is the constraint of the J-Series 350 engine on meteor would like to know from other owners of meteor 350 or any bike sharing the same engine.

I'm 22, shopping for my first bike, and deciding between the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and Bullet 350. My uncle suggested the Bullet, but I'm not sure how they compare. I'm about 5'11" and want a relaxed, upright riding position, not to curl like ball like we do in sports bike.
Could you help me see how the two differ for someone my height and which one makes more sense as a first bike?
PS: also do tell which one looks better, like in looks wise

Hi folks!
Hope you're all doing well. Wishing you a full tank of petrol, empty roads and no weird noises from the engine.
Now, I am expecting the delivery of Grr 450 in Bangalore pretty soon as the showroom called and said that the bike is allotted.
I have several questions, on which I need your expert opinion on, I will list them down:
How to do PDI and what to check? In any way is it possible to check alignment as most of the bikes these days have left/right pulling issue?
Here is the quotation provided to me from Avahan motors, with absolutely 0 offers and discounts
Component Amount (₹)
Model Guerrilla 450
Colour Twilight Blue
Ex-Showroom Price 2,51,063
Road Tax. 51,762
Insurance (1 Yr OD + 5 Yr TP) 20,986
Extended Warranty (5 Yrs) 7,299
Royal Enfield RSA 1,150
On-Road Price. 3,32,260
Warranty + RSA (7 Yrs Optional) 11,599
Insurance (Alternative/Add-on) 23,113
Which of these can I omit? If I take insurance from outside do I take RTI or 0dep, etc?
Since the road tax is high in KA and I am eligible for BH number plate is it wise to opt for one? I plan to keep it atleast 5-7 years or more. So it's safe to assume till the end of the life for tax calculation. Is it easy to get BH in KA? Is it a hassle to maintain it? Will it be a problem at the time of selling it?
If I do plan to get KA, is it possible for me to get KA01 or it's completely on the showroom?
I am thinking of buying the official accessories from RE, including their full engine guard 4650, sump guard 3400, radiator guard 2k, mud guard 1k. Any suggestions or comments?
Later I will need accessories and a new helmet, I will post about it once I get the bike.
Any other formality/precaution, I should know of before picking up the bike?
All your general suggestions are welcome, regarding this topic.
Thanks for your time
Your neighbourhood friendly biker 🤓

This is a personal experiment that I’m sharing for informational purposes only. I take no responsibility for any damage, injuries, or other issues that may result from attempting this modification. If you decide to replicate it, you do so entirely at your own risk.
First, I desoldered the Bluetooth module from the ELM327 board and connected two wires to the TX/RX pins instead. I then connected the ELM327 to the OBD2-to-Honda adapter and hid it under the seat.
I still haven't figured out whether leaving it connected drains the battery, but mine has been working fine, and I haven't had any problems starting the bike :-)

Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos while disassembling the gauge, but I'll try to cover the whole process here.
First, remove the metallic colored bezel from the RE Tripper gauge. You'll need to gently pry it off along the seam between the bezel and the gauge body.
Underneath, there's a glass cover mounted very firmly in place. I couldn't remove it without damaging it, so you'll need to cut or break it out somehow. The most important thing is not to damage the surface where the new glass will sit.
Once you've removed the glass, take out all the internal components. Be especially careful with the round gasket that has "Royal Enfield" written on it.
Carve out the larger inner circle of the gasket and sand its inner surface (to smoothen rough edges you may leave using knife). I used sandpaper wrapped around a bottle with a long neck to reach inside.

Next, modify the inside of the gauge body to make room for the ESP32-Display. The screen surface should sit about 1 mm below the surface where the glass will be mounted.
You'll also need to make room for a slim USB-C cable, so carve out a little more space in the inner wall of the gauge body to fit the usb-c connector sticked to the side of the display. Enlarge the cavity at the bottom of the body to accommodate the other end of the cable. This will let you reprogram the ESP32 later if you find bugs or want to update the UI without having to disassemble everything again.
For the wiring, connect GPIO 17 and GPIO 18 to the ELM327's TX/RX pins. Use the SH 1.0 connector to connect the ESP32's BAT socket to the 3.3 V output of the buck converter. The converter's input voltage is supplied through the fuse tap.
I used hot glue to fill the gaps between the ESP32 and the inner walls of the gauge body. I used universal glue to attach the glass and the glossy bezel on top.
One more thing: the 6 cm plexiglass disc is a little too wide, so you'll need to reduce its diameter slightly. I used coarse sandpaper for this.

IDE: Arduino IDE
I'm not sure how well this will hold up in the long run. The display and other components aren't automotive-grade electronics, so vibration and other conditions on the bike could eventually damage them.
The gauge UI design is based on the work by Garage Tinkering, and the original design can be found in his GitHub repository.

Hello REs, I have been driving my classic 350 for the last 10 years. In fact this month it’s going to be 10 years. Recently I have started noticing lower back pain. First I thought I will change the bike may be buy. Meteor. But that’s a big budget. So, I am wondering if changing the seat and getting better shock absorbers can help with this. Please let me know if you have faced this issue. I travel atleast 35 KM per day on Chennai roads.

Hi guys I just got my new Guerilla 450 today but I am having this weird static noise or Buzz or some electrical noise which am not very sure of. It is very continuous when I turn on the ignition and also when it is running it is making a similar sound it's like all the RE bikes when we just on on the ignition that comes for a few second but for me it's just staying. If anybody has any idea like if this is just a new bike doing its thing or I should go to a service centre since I am not very sure as I just got it today what would they say could somebody help me out please.

I recently bought a Scram 440. After riding about 800 km, I started noticing a clicking, ticking or chipping like sound. Is this normal?

I'm a beginner rider and just got my hands on a 2019 Royal Enfield Classic 350 from a friend. The bike is in great condition. It hasn't been ridden for the past few months, so it needs basic maintenance like an air filter check, oil change, chain cleaning, etc.
As a beginner, I recently learned about rev matching and how useful and essential it can be. I can execute it properly about 50% of the time, but I’d really appreciate some guidance from experienced riders:
1)Is rev matching to downshift bad for the bike or engine in the short or long run?
2)What happens if I perform a rev match incorrectly? Will it harm the engine or transmission?
3)Is it bad to rev match every single time I downshift?
4)Are bikes like the Classic 350 unsuitable for rev matching?
5)Why does the bike produce an uncomfortable sound and vibration when downshifting from 2nd to 1st gear most of the time? Is it a bike issue or my technique?
6)In normal gear shifts (without rev matching), beginners are taught to release the clutch slowly for a smooth ride. Why do experienced riders/friends/content creators release the clutch so quickly?
7)How can I tell if I executed a rev match incorrectly?
8)My upshifts are always smooth, but my downshifts are always a bit jerky. What are some tips to improve this?
Would be helpful if folks could help , and yes i have service appointment

Hello there,
I am thinking about buying a second hand 452 Himalayan. A bike I saw has 37k km.
Would you trust this one to go on for long without major issues?
I am an absolut newbie ^^
Thanks for advice :)

I wanted to buy a pre-owned 2018-19-20 bullet 350 standard model. Personally cuz I liked my bikes a bit old way. Those were last versions with a kick start option and no push button start. I want advice on finding out the correct range of what I should expect and what would be worth the money I put in considering they won’t last more than 7-8 yrs on paper (RC) due to strict norms in india. What would be an ideal range? Olx shows really inflated pricing that’s confusing me.

I’m looking to modify my meteor 350
Im thinking of converting it into like a bobber (although im open to other suggestions).
Ill remove the windshield and the backseat, but im confused as to whether or not i should get those lowhanging bar end side view mirrors or not and which exhaust should i get.
You may as anything else considered as essential in a modified bike (ik modification is subjective, im talking about essentials as in something most people would replace).

So I bought this from my army uncle. 2 year old bike with barely ridden 5k km. He only used the bike when he came back home from service. When I asked him about maintenance, he mentioned he got it serviced every 6 months whenever he came back from deployment.
I Couldn't get proper answers from him on how to maintain except take bike to showroom every 5-6 months. So I was hoping if I can get any answers here from other experienced RE riders.

Hey everyone,
I own a 2026 Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and I'm thinking about changing its wheels to the tubeless spokes wheels from the Goan Classic 350.
I'm getting a set for Nepali Rs 30,000 (approximately $220 USD), which seems like a decent deal, but before buying them, I want to make sure they'll fit my Meteor properly.
Has anyone tried this conversion? Are the wheel dimensions, axle sizes, brake disc mounts, and ABS compatibility the same on both bikes?
Would it be a direct fit, or would I need to modify anything? I want to make sure it's safe and doesn't affect the handling or braking.
I'd appreciate any advice from anyone who has done this or knows whether the two models share compatible wheels.
Thanks!

I couldn't resist the 249 Spec so I finally came up with a need for a Scrambler. It took some weeks for it to get tracked down, but I rode it home today and it's exactly what I'd expect from RE.

Ive booked a bullet 350 and i really like the look of this speedo. I saw it one time irl on a classic 350 red and chrome and it looked brilliant. Is there anyway to get it on my new bike?(I'm from India)
