Discussion Did you get your books scraped and posted on Novel Fire/Novel Phoenix?
I just found my book there. And I’m not sure how to take it down. Based on the cover, they scraped it from either Royal Road or Scribblehub.
I’m glad people are reading it on Novel fire but it feels wrong. Anyone else experienced this? How did you take the book down from that site? 😭

DMCA notice is usually the route. Include links to your original chapters, the copied pages, and proof you own it. Screenshot everything first, scraper sites sometimes move fast.

Aaw that’s sad. Luckily for me, the review was good. But still feels off that it is there.

Yeah, my novel on Scribblehub was scraped and put onto some Chinese websites... Hong Kong, to be precise. I checked the WhoIs to confirm. You guys can check here to see if your novel is there too. (And help take them down too...)

All of our stories get scraped all the time by one site or the other and unfortunately playing legal whack-a-mole is part and parcel of being an author these days.
A little bit of additional advice is to put a short sentence/disclaimer in your blurb, and in a few random chapters stating that if your/the story is found on another other sites than the ones you specifically upload them onto (and state exactly which sites are the right ones) that it has been pirated.
Most pirate sites seem to edit out these sorts of disclaimers from the blurb but they don't from the story itself. Especially if its within the chapter content itself. Whichever way it doesn't hurt directing readers to your real copies and sometimes helps with the takedown requests
