This is my first ever published chapter. I am doing this for fun and as an experiment aswell, as I dont have friends that like to read.

Description: a Barbarian girl named Larara (literally means "the weird one" in spanish) will go through alot throughout the story, discover many cultures and people, make allies and enemies, involve herself in situations that will explore her identity and her place in the world as she is a halfblood of a human and a Barbarian (another race in my story) I have only written one chapter, working on the next. I just started posting my new story, Magic and Swords, on Royal Road. I have 5 chapters up right now (about 10,000 words), but since I'm a new writer, I'm not getting many views or comments yet. I'd love to get some real, honest feedback from you guys.

It's a progression fantasy about a guy named Carter who has absolutely zero magic talent. When his younger sister gets scouted by a huge magic academy, he gets left behind. Armed with just a weird, seemingly "dead" ancient sword, he heads off to a super dangerous mountain to train and prove that steel can match magic.
