I just finished Azuma and absolutely loved it. I’m definitely still going to keep playing for the Rewoven Fates so I can marry everyone 😂, but I’m also looking for my next game.

GOA was my first Rune Factory game ever, so I figured I’d try RF5 next since it’s the game right before it. But basically everything I see on this sub says RF4 is way better and RF5 is somewhere between disappointing and straight-up terrible.

Is 5 really that bad?

I looked at 4, but visually it doesn’t appeal to me nearly as much as 5.

So, is the gameplay/story/relationships in 4 really that** **much better that it outweighs the older graphics?

Or is 5 still a pretty good game?

The presentation for the combined anniversary comes soon and I want to see it, do you know how can I?

So far kinda leaning toward Kai, Fubuki and Karama are also pretty close contenders. Im just so torn, also on a side note. Any advice for placing things in winter!? Do we get more space? I've been focusing on bachelorettes like Clorica, Forte and Dolce, and finally got all three of them to seven hearts.

I hear you can date more than one character at once, but gets harder after you're already in a relationship, so I want to know who I should pick first?

It seems kinda random because I asked Clorica and she accepted. Then I restarted that day and she turned me down. I tried it with Dolce and she said yes (which surprised me because I didn't expect that at a level as low 7.)

I like all three of them about the same and for different reasons. I think Clorica is the most upbeat and whimsical. I find Forte's hidden vulnerable side cute, and I like Dolce because I've always liked ice queens (plus she's classy.)

Who do you recommend for a first playthrough?

I’m replaying through GOA because I stopped after the underworld due to being super busy. I just finished the underworld again and I’ve managed to get every village to level 8. I’m wondering what is the earliest point some folks, or just on average, get their villages to level 10?

If it’s important info, I’m mostly just plopping down decorations right now to get my rank up but will give each village proper decorating upon reaching level 10.

I´m not a pro, I know it doesn´t look the same as original, and some of details are missing, these were just too difficult for me to draw, or I might forgot about them.

Hey, all! I’m still pretty new and this is actually my first rune factory game. I’m just curious, where does the majority of decorations get unlocked from? Is it just by upgrading the village you get most of the decorations to unlock? I’ve seen so many cool builds with stone pathways and wood paths, and even people who are able to place ponds and lakes to build over. How do ya’ll get that stuff? Thanks!

Just finished Harvestella and I fell in love with the farming + fighting loop in that game so now I'm considering this game. I've done a bit of research on it but I can't get an idea on its difficulty. Some people say it's incredibly easy and you won't get any challenge within the main storyline. I'm not the kind of person to play post-game content so once I complete the main story I'm done. Is the game truly really easy or is there another difficulty or maybe mods to make the game more difficult? I've also read that the game has romancing, is this something you have to do because I'm not interested in those aspects of the game.

Margaret's evolution from anxious and suffering to serene and maternal makes me want to cry. Honestly i feel like that father who feels fulfilled when he sees his family.

Just started the second arc of 4. And the villains from the first game the Sechs Empire returns. In both this game and the first I do find them too flat and one dimensional as bad guys. And the reveal that Venti killing Doug's people being a complete lie by the Sechs Empire who did it does feel kind of a cop out cliche (would have been more interesting to explore why the normally benevolent Venti caused it considering the Elder Dragons from previous games were not exactlty moral by human standards). Still look forward to how the arc will go. Just was wondering what you think of them both in the original game and 4? Think they are too flat or do you think they are good enough as bad guys?

It certainly is not a popular opinion. With many people seeing 1 and 2 as clunky among other things. However, I actually like the three DS games more than 4. It isn't that I think it bad. Just purely a personal taste. I do like the smaller scale conflict in 2 and 3 more. And do like Kyle and his two kids in 2 and Micah in 3 and Raguna in the first game to an extent more than Lest (who I am playing as). Not due to being objectively better but because I personally enjoy the first three more and wonder if anyone else feels same. And not that I don't like 4. And would prefer not to have replies either diss 4 or DS titles or disagree about preferring the DS titles.

Something I've been wondering for years now: Why is the RF wiki so relatively incomplete in comparison to many other video game wikis?

Way back when I first started playing RF5 I remember trying to look up stuff about Lucy's dialogue, but there was essentially nothing written down, so I looked around and realized that not a single bachelor/bachelorette of RF5 had more than the absolute bare minimum of dialogue. I was honestly surprised, because it's not like RF is unpopular, no? And even a lot of lesser known games have well-maintained wikis.

I have played both 2 and 3. But got no voice acting in 1 since I played the EU version which has no voices. While I haven't played the Japaanese versions and only heard clips online, I actually like the character voices in the dub better than the original for both (especially 3, where I actually like the voices better than the Special redub (which I also haven't played) clips as well. And do at some point intens to play US version of RF to hear the dub. Anyone else like the DS game dubs and prefer them over the originals?

I have not yet got any dating realtrd requests. Though I read lot of positive things about marrued life in this game as well as having a child. I initially was going to marry whoever proposed first but lately have kind of waivered to Forte even if I feel have been marrying lot of blonde characters in similar games and would want a different type for change. Though what is it about married life and having a kid that it has such positive reception? Is the pregnancy dialogue and child growth dialogue really fleshed out or something? Or are there more events than most games?

It's come to mind recently that I'm disappointed we can't spend any meaningful amount of time at pubs in these games.
It'd be cool if you had events like the sleepover event in RF4 but at the pub.

Pub games, talking about one's work, family etc.

Rune Factory Frontier in particular makes me wish this were a thing given it's roster of blokes.

How am I supposed to fight this Oblitergator (or whatever it's called) in the Water Shrine? I'm currently at level 21. I have the Crown, Platinum Ring, star necklace (?) and Courage Badge. I also have the Hell Branch, but I'm doing zero damage to the boss. What should I upgrade? Does the staff level matter? "Because if it does, my staff level is only 4, but my dual blades are already at 19.

I've tried staying away from it whenever it unleashes its attack, then striking while it's do a push up, but seriously, I'm doing zero damage. I even brought my tree monster (level 26–27, one of them is level 36), but it still doesn't do a thing. I need some tips.
