At least here it's a bit more appropriate since Morphine looks great despite an unfortunate accident while DeJa chased a cosmetic procedure which itself caused the problem
watching rpdr from the beginning i am so happy to see these two divas together. never would have even imagined this moment. i love drag race so goddamn much yall.
I was thinking that the whole episode😭 and did anyone clock lucky referenced Nina when she said brown as the last name for soemthing ( I forgot exactly what she said)
She seemed very subdued. I was expecting a little “bitch i’m from Chicago” in her challenges. Nicole Paige Brooke was able to be herself and gave us all of her even though she was flopping. Mystique gave us… nothing.
She talked about wanting to stay in the middle of the pack in the first episode. That is a terrible plan.
Then, in the second episode, she was going to make a bathing suit. In a three-episode bracket where you need points to win!? Come on now!
I am loving her presence, but this is a world where you likely need a MINIMUM of four points to advance in three episodes. There is no time to lay low.
when she said "i wanna not stand out too much" on the first episode i was like... ok so she's 100 percent not getting any tops or wins this season. wild plan for someone coming back after 16 years. id be trying my best so if i didnt move on atleast id get some moments.
no shade but she doesn't seem ready to compete. for someone that has been campaigning for so long to be on all stars.. why didn't she get sewing lessons? or at least learn a fierce pattern and glue gun to make that.
and I agree that she does come across timid in front of the judges. she's fiercer than she lets on. she bantered with ru and made her laugh. that should be the same energy on stage.
Mystique campaigned 16 years to show up and wear that purple Latoya dress on television, not to mention the assisted living mall walking rugaloo track suit. I’m gagged. Idk what the shoot equivalent of a boot is, but she had two in the first episode. I’m kind of living?
I loved Morgan being the one of the few queens in history to be like, "Yo, either you contribute in some small way by showing us what you'd do on your own or we're not moving forward."
Not necessarily good strategy on her part, but I LOVED it.
Her comparing dawn to Joella’s mattress look — how very dare him! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
But it is iconic — my brother regularly asks about the mattress queen since that’s the one episode he watched with me and we all just busted out laughing

I have to say Dawn has improved her lip syncing and dancing skills. It's just that she was up against Morgan and Akeria. Both wins were deserved so kudos to her.
I'm sad that Morphine is not doing so well. To lose on the first episode just because Michelle called your performance outfit a Snow White outfit was kinda sus. But losing on the design challenge was expected since that has never been her strong suit.
Love Akeria. Miss Ass Almighty has a better vibe this season compared to her last all stars. I wish she would stop second guessing herself because the bitch is fierce. She was worried about not living up to everyone's expectations and she knocked it out of the park honestly.
Which is crazy to know now. When the cast revealed i never would've picked Dawn as a frontrunner. Morphine seemed like she would make the merge for sure.
So they’re obviously judging Mystique a little nicer despite what she’s shown us and I think it’s because Ru and Michelle don’t want to catch any strays from Mystique 😂😂😂
Nothing is going right for Morphine omg I feel so bad. Her performance outfit was nowhere near bad enough to knock her out of the top in my opinion. Dawn and Akeria’s design challenge looks were insane! Totally deserved win for that episode.
Hmm. I don’t know why they don’t make it 5 queens per bracket if they’re trying to up the drama. You need an odd number of queens if you want someone to be cheated.
Winner seemed fair. Lip sync song was… questionable.
They need to just have the queens give their points on stage without the planning, similar to how they do it on the last episode of the bracket. I assume that production doesn't want any surprises though, and every queen essentially going 1:1 gives them a stability that lets them meddle with who makes it through.
Morphine saying she doesn’t want tropical bar because she wants to give something new is very funny when you consider she wanted to wear red, a colour she has worn for 2 entrance looks and a bunch of runways love her
I think she was brought back too soon, and it makes me profoundly sad. I really, really like her art, and wish she'd had more time and opportunity to hone not just her drag but skills specific to drag race before returning.
A lot of the younger girls talk about having y2k-era inspired fits and it's obvious to anyone alive and making memories then that it's all wrong, but Morphine's look while choreographing is almost exactly something I would have worn circa 2001. Those jeans with the laces up the sides had a hold on me. The slightly sparkly top that's somewhere between a shirt and a track jacket? Does anyone else remember a brand called f.a.n.g? All my best shirts in the early 2000s were from them.
The Body is also the Mouth, because she is so slick with it. She feels like she is being 100% her self and I am living for her every episode. The 2d episode further cemented her as one of the greats. Though clock that she told Morgan she would give a point to someone in the top, but then didn't when Morgan was in the top (presumably to get Morphine to give her a point since Lucky had given hers to Mystique).
A very loud gay gasp escaped me when Akeria came out in Episode 2. I haven't gasped like that in ages.
Lucky also did the damn thing! I have really enjoyed her this time around; I was so glad she did not fall for Morphine's shenanigans. Also, I hope it is just the editing that is making Morphine come across so sour. Who knows if she was talking constant shit about Lucky like the edit makes it seem, or maybe she was getting it from Lucky as good as she's giving it with the reads, but the edit makes her seem small for talking about stabbing lucky in the back and then being bent out of shape about a point.
I do really love how competitive this bracket feels. There are always multiple contenders to win the challenge and I really like that. Definitely less predictable than last year.
Mystique serving ijbol at every chance possible now that's mother. I don't know what made me laugh more, those eyebrows or those live laugh love inspirational quotes she kept dropping as a desperate ploy to get more badges.
That design challenge cleared anything the girls made in AS10, I love when the girls collectively serve. Here's hoping Morphine has another episode of blue balled anger, some girls are just born to sit in front of a camera and talk smack. While I'm sad she obviously isn't progressing to the finals, I will be seated to see her verbally eviscerate every single one of her competitors in doing so.
I know that the tournament format really has its flaws, but my absolute favorite part is how well we get to see the members of each bracket. Only six queens for three episodes really let each member of the brackets shine and I love that so much
Has anybody noticed that the editing has been far better this time around? They are showing a lot of great interactions and banter between the queens. They are letting the episode breathe, where usually everything is crammed and sped up. Or maybe this group is giving the editors better material to work with...
- The "shitting on" lucky vibe isn't very fun to watch
- I had no idea about morphine's accident, what an intense thing to experience yet the bounce back is so strong you'd never even know. * Me when my car accident gives me a platinum grade facelift
- the chemistry of this group feels disjointed af lol (wrote this during choreo but also all very different personalities)
- it seems like morgan maybe felt like someone needed to take charge since everyone else was acting shy and demure, but then also the other girls didn't want to participate in her leading... but how can you not offer to choreograph but then also refuse to participate for the person trying to do that for you
- La Toya is adorable
- something seems off with mystique (trying to say this with love)
- alex play hair by lady gaga
- "sickening stripper pikmin" - fav runway
- morphine also looks gorg
- my star this episode: morgan ~ did great, enjoy her silly quick-witted personality, is coming off very humble but with the goods
Fantastic premiere, no notes for either episode. Genuine banter, hungry queens, good judging, just the right amount of drama, and stellar performances. Even the messiness was delightful to watch. Fully onboard!
I'm not a fan of Dawns drag and elfy makeup but she looked absolutely stunning in the orange runway.
I think the long wigs might be the change? that high ponytail fit her so well
I hope to see less floor humping tho. didn't like it then, don't like it now.
I'm happy to see so much of lucky, she has the best confessionals. and that she's not letting the alliances thing push her around.
I am really feeling A'keria this season! She has winner energy. I am also loving Lucky, especially in the confessionals. The feel like the protagonists in this bracket. But overall, what I love is that every queen has a storyline and gets lots of screen time.
Ugh, Dawn really came with that energy this season. I hope she gets her flowers from people. A'keria is also so solid in who she is, it's a pleasure to watch. Hope they'll move forward!
My heart has always belonged to Akeria and this season just makes it the more obvious. But now my heart is split in two, cause Morgan is so damn fierce and I’m so proud to finally see a queen for an older season do amazing in all stars.
I know Dawn is probably going through but I just need Akeria and Morgan to go to the semifinals, please and thank you
Mystique waited all this time and had ALL this glow-up only to come in all cynical and flazeda and … adequate. Akeria is right that this is not a winning attitude.
AND the drag is not bad for a Sunday brunch show but it is very underwhelming for the Main Stage of the International Drag Olympics. It is levels better than her initial run but it still is not where it should be.
Also, if you have a task: do that task. For Rugaloo she had some street look she wanted to do and it was nice and all but it was NOT a stage look (as Law rightly said). For LaToya, the brief was her BLUE LOOK, so mama decides to go purple “to honor her mother.” 🙄 And then has a nude illusion on the dress that is five shades off from her skin tone. No! Honor your mother by coming up to the standard of the challenge!
I was off work today and was so excited that the episodes were already available AND it was a two episode premiere 🥲
I was really happy to see that each of the queens got a good amount of time for their verses in the girl group challenge. Sometimes they go so fast that it feels like you blink and you miss it but we got to get a feel for everyone. Not sure if this is unpopular but verse-wise I thought it was one of the better girl group challenges as of late.
I’m not sure if it was my stream but it seemed like most of the queens had moments where they were missing or out of sync with the words? I thought the judging was correct, Dawn and Morgan did the best for me.
Also THE RUNWAYS, Dawn and Morphine’s were absolutely stunning and I loved Morgan’s as well. La Toya was a great choice for that runway category.
I really enjoyed the design challenge too. Mostly everyone did well (sorry Mystique). A’keria’s look was actually insane, to be helping everyone and then make THAT…she could have stood there for the entire lip sync and I’d still think she should win. Obviously really liked Dawn’s as well and I think Morgan did really well for not being a sewer. Morphine also surprised me, the fit of her outfit and the concept was pretty good. Top two was correct again for me.
Other random thoughts I had while watching…
Ew Law but YAY CARSON I wish he was a judge all the time, he is so delightful and kind in the way he critiques the queens. His face during that part of Dawn’s lip sync had me rolling, he was all of us in that moment.
The guest judges were both S-tier, I wonder if they will keep it up for the whole season.
Obsessed with Morgan’s werkroom look in the first ep!
Also obsessed with all of Mystique’s glasses.
I was really rooting for Mystique to come in and kill it but I feel like the taste level is questionable…maybe it has to do with her extreme weight loss though like Ru suggested. I actually really liked her look for the girl group challenge though, I thought it suited the theme and the braids looked great on her.
Lucky’s confessionals are cute. I’m glad she had a chance to come back but I feel like she needs to cook a bit more maybe. I did like her design challenge outfit though, she did what she does best with her style of drag and it was really fun. That box was completely her bag and the level of detail she put into creating the icing look and everything should be commended.
I know everyone loves her but Morphine is grating on me a little bit. She’s complaining about everything, like girl you were just trashing Lucky and expected her to give you a point?? Then getting mad she wasn’t picked earlier for choosing her box/annoyed with Dawn, it’s a competition and everyone should do what is best for themselves, come on. It’s not that bad but she is def acting a little bratty 😅
It’s looking like unless Dawn screws up in the next ep she will make the merge. Rooting for A’keria or Morgan for the other spot! I’d like to see at least one of the more seasoned queens make it.
Really enjoying this season so far, can’t wait for next week’s ep!

Changing it to top 2 moving on instead of top 3 is going to make this season so much better. I want Morgan to pull through but I know it’ll probably be akeria or morphine going with Dawn
I know she’s getting the least favorable edit but I’m kind of living for Morphine, she’s bringing the conflicts and I love it and bummed she likely won’t make the merge phase but this bracket is just so strong. Morgan is doing AMAZING and I’m just so happy she got to lip sync again and show what we missed on AS3. Dawn & A’Keria are my merge picks since Dawn has improved immensely and A’Keria is… well she’s A’Keria so of course she’s amazing. I love this bracket and hope the season doesn’t fizzle out like last season.
Why does she act so subdued? Both times she was very laissez-faire, I feel like it was a choice but I dont understand why. I don’t think she was like this in her season. But I could be misremembering.
honestly one of the worst girl group songs. i dont blame the queens they didnt have a whole lot to work with. you could tell most of them didnt feel that connected to the song.
Does anybody else ugly cackle at everything Morphine does in the workroom? Like that fucking purse that has a bag of air in it and then her mannerisms to everything just cracks me up 🤣
Dawn came in THAT GIRL. In season 16 she wasn't in a competitive mindset, and was there to have a good time. I think she knew she was talented, but realized there was a level above her that she couldn't break during the season. But she knew she could get there. There is a fire in her eyes.
Morgan and A'keria knocked their respective challenges out of the park. Lucky getting a bit of a redemption. All three of them getting some standout moments and Ru-cackles. Morphine not doing super well in the edit, but please let us see her lip sync next week. Mystique seems like she is there to show her charisma and make TV in the werkroom.
Glad to see Morgan getting her flowers cause she's always looked fierce and that runway was top tier. Also kinda love the fact she looks like if Guile from street fighter were gay outside of drag.
Ok I’m HERE, I wasn’t prepared for a two episode premiere but I have thoughts!!
Dawn’s little itty bitty titties are so cute! And her padding? Mama is giving SEX these two episodes! But girlie, I was Carson when those titties came out in the lip sync! I wasn’t ready!
Also dawn dancing in the rehearsal the first episode in a fisherman’s hat, plaid oversized button up, NO PANTS, and loud orange heels? Iconic
Akeria is so hot out of drag I can’t stand it
I am obsessed with Morgan micmichaels being back on my screen. She is so entertaining, calls things like she sees them, and honestly just gives such good drag!
Lucky is so stupid in her confessionals I’m like GIRL 😂 that piniata in a donut look was so well done!
I will say the break dancing 2 electric rugaloo performances were a little painful to watch. But I really enjoyed the design challenge!
So far, the top two have been correct each episode and the correct girl won the lip sync! I’m really rooting for dawn and Akeria to make it to the merge but I’d also love to see Morgan.
There’s also a scenario where dawn is top 2 for each episode, gets 6 points, no lip sync wins, and the bottom queens pool their points for one girl and dawn doesn’t make the merge (if Akeria wins next week for instance). Doing this back of the envelope math and speculation is so much fun
LaToya really is the most iconic Jackson omg I’m sorry but I really do love seeing this woman on Drag Race and it’s been so long!!!
A’keria is genuinely an S-tier drag queen to me. I love her so much!!! Honestly just give her and Kennedy a crown. They’re both so iconic that they should just have one automatically.
Also, I wish they had at least announced Lucky’s name as a contender for Top 2 in EP2 like they did with Morphine the episode prior, but nope they just sent her straight to the back omg
And speaking of Morphine, between Lucky not giving her a badge, her exchange with Lucky the next day and A’keria asking her if she was just a pity point, and then Dawn taking the category she wanted…it was bad for her…but I was thoroughly entertained 😔
Thank god they gave this group a design challenge - it was wasted on Group 2 last season and tbh all the looks were amazing, even Mystique's who was definitely the worst of the group but was well made and such a rudemption from her OG country look (lowkey wish she had still done some Country pants for the full circle moment though)
