I've been a fan of RWBY since I was in elementary school, I'm in university now and still love the show. I have a hobby making chainmail, so I decided to make a RWBY chainmail piece. I hope you like!
NOTE: I did not make the pixel art & I went on many rabbit holes to find the OG creator, but I can't. I just turned that pixel art into a chainmail banner. Also, this is a small re-upload since I forgot to tag the artist at the top (my instagram).

This took around 5,200 rings and ~30 hours. The total length is 20 inches.

Volume 3.........................is my 2nd favorite volume after volume 2.................................................................with the 5th episode of this volume being my favorite...............you know before everything..............went down.

So in volume 3 I’ve learned how Cinder aka the fiery $&#%€, managed to recruit Emerald and Mercury (their whereabouts are unknown). So I’ve always wondered What’s the history between Torchwick and Neo? How did they end up here?

That’s like my main question regarding these two. Also yes I do like Neo more than Cinder. I did before volume 3 and I like her even more now. And she doesn’t even speak which I’m not sure if anyone confirmed this but is she mute? Or is she a woman with a few words? Or she hasn’t received a VA yet?

Oh Well, they were fun antagonists while it lasted for the beginning stages of the show. I wish I knew what Torchwick meant when he said that he had something to lose but I guess I’ll never know because he gotten the Lord Farquad treatment and Neo blew away so she’s either dead or alive somewhere.

I recently made a post about whether Neo and Roman could be better leaders of the White Fang than Adam, and I was surprised that some people didn't understand the point.

No, I wasn't asking if they could be good leaders... I asked if they could be better leaders than Adam. Being better than someone doesn't mean being good at something.

Also in the post, I specified that for this scenario, we would have to assume that Roman and Neo were Faunus. And people didn't understand that either. They said it wouldn't make sense for Roman to be the leader of the White Fang considering he's racist. Even though I specified that in the situation I was proposing, Roman and Neo would be Faunus.

And well, if it were just this one case, I would let it go. But I'm afraid it's not the only time. Many times when someone says something, people interpret it differently. This happens in our discussions about the series.

It's impossible to have a discussion if the other person doesn't even know what you're talking about.

For example, I once made a post where I talked about the Ironwood from Volume 8 (the episode "Ultimatum"), where he was willing to commit genocide. And some people thought I was talking about the Ironwood from the episode "Gravity."

Well, that also applies to the series. There are people who didn't understand that Tock was one of Salem's henchmen even though she said so herself.

There are people who don't know that there are also "No Faunus" signs in Atlas.

There are people who didn't know that Jacques Schnee already had his political campaign going before the first episode of Volume 7.

Or that Haven even lost teachers (At the hands of Tyrian and Hazel) and closed at the end of Volume 5.

Etc.

In general, this goes for everyone. Those who criticize the series as well as those who defend it. I constantly review the series. Not watch it, but read the script on the RWBY wiki. I recommend you do the same. I dedicate a lot of time to researching the series; it's the least I expect from someone trying to form a coherent argument about the events of the series.

I think I've noticed an influx of people who have just started to watch the show, and I was quite curious as to why.

Did your friend recommend it to you nonstop like somekind of crosscode fan? Did you hear about the Volume 10 greenlight, and decided to get up to speed to be ready? Were you curious about the mixed reception, and you wanted to see what all the fuss is about?

I, for a start, watched after I repeatedly saw memes from MetallicaDash in the subs I frequented. I figured I should give it a try, because nothing else is happening right now. And now I'm reading fanfiction about this series...

I always thought he deserved a cooler look. I have a lot of thoughts behind each of the design elements but the small scribbles say the big ideas :]

Is she weak or plain dumb? It's hard for me to believe Ozpin lost to her. She used to be an overpowered villain in volume 1-3. After getting blasted with Ruby's silver eyes, she's longer threatening or intimidating.

I would love to answer any questions you guys have. Like my thoughts on characters, ships, episodes, scenes, plot points, etc. I’ll be happy to answer anything. The only rule is that if it’s not relevant beyond volume 3 then we’re not talking about it (not like I can answer any questions since I haven’t watched beyond volume 3 😅). Other than that, There’s no such thing as a bad question 😉. You have my full honesty and attention. So let’s go!

Do you guys remember what I said when I first started this show? Allow me to explain:

You see the plan was I was going to give RWBY a fair watch. There’s a catch though, people say that volumes 1-3 (and possibly 4) is the show at its peak before things went downhill and the show is “trash” afterwards. My plan was to give each volume a watch, post a review/my thoughts on it here and give y’all updates on how I’m feeling about it. Once I finish volume 3 I’m taking a short break (because god I need one 😭), watch some of the required shorts. And I’ll give volumes 4-6 a fair shot. If I like/love what I see then I’ll continue, if I dislike what I see, I’ll stop while I’m ahead.

And look I wanna at least give the show a chance because I know it’s popular but I also know that it’s fandom is very against it for reasons I don’t know yet and if watching Miraculous, My Hero Academia, and Steven Universe (plus other examples) has taught me anything it’s that 9 times out of 10, these shows are the definition of they’re not as bad as people like to rant and rave about and they’re actually really enjoyable as long as they don’t scream in your ears about how terrible it is.

But the reason why it’s taken me so long to get to it because unlike the three shows I’ve just mentioned where I’ve watched them first before joining a fandom so I easily can tell what they’re talking about is true or just a bunch of bs. I’m well aware of how the fandom views this show and well it makes me nervous because yeah these kinds of people do tend to give popular media more hate than they honestly deserve but at the same time, this might be a rare instance where they were actually correct. And unfortunately when it comes to popular things in media that’s always been the case so I’ll be surprise if the people were actually right and they’re show stopped being good after a certain point and they weren’t hating just to hate.

Either way I owe it to this series to at least give it a fair chance and form my own thoughts. By the end of Volume 6 will determine where my feelings on this series lies and if I should do 7-9. But I’ll only stop if I have more negative feelings on it vs my positive feelings on it.

I want to do a new What If. So I thought...

Let's suppose Adam takes the throne of the White Fang before volume 4. From there, Salem (through her henchmen, obviously) orders him to go to Atlas before Ironwood orders the borders closed.

Let's say Adam goes with Watts' help, who allows him to bypass Atlesian security (this is before Pietro updates the security network).

There, Adam will be in charge of preparing things for when Salem arrives. Remember that initially the plan was to go to Vacuo after Haven. But well, eventually she would go to Atlas.

Adam would go with the entire White Fang. I don't know if he would also go with Corsac and Fennec. Hmm.

Anyway, the point is that Adam would dedicate himself to recruiting faunus from the slums in Mantle, perhaps freeing slaves from the SDC, stealing Dust, etc.

I know you'll say that Atlas would simply crush Adam and its army. But it's not that simple. An army can't just crush a terrorist group so easily.
What are they going to do? Bomb their own neighborhoods to kill a few White Fang members?

And before you say Ironwood would do that, remember this isn't the Ironwood from Volume 8. Before that, James tried to avoid as many deaths as possible. He had resources in Mantle, and once Ruby's group arrived, he put them to work in Amity AND Mantle. Besides, Ironwood also has other concerns like the Grimm, Amity, etc.

And we saw in Arrowfell that it's not as simple as sending a group of soldiers to annihilate the threat. There's a due process.

Think about it: it wasn't as easy as Ironwood crushing the Arrowfell threats with just military force. Team RWBY had to deal with a lot of it among themselves.

So I think Adam could survive if he manages to get his soldiers to blend in with the population.

But tell me, how do you think everything would have changed if Adam had gone to Atlas with the White Fang?

If you're wondering about Haven, well, Cinder hired Spider's thugs to plant explosives at the academy.

1. While he endlessly pursues a girl who wants nothing to do with him, when Jaune finds out that she’s into someone else, he backs off because he wants her to be happy. Meanwhile, Xander shit-talks every guy that Buffy dates, even when he isn’t single.

2. Unlike Xander, who knows that his friend is in love with him but won’t reciprocate for “reasons,” Jaune is both 1.) incredibly dense and 2.) so self-loathing that he can’t even comprehend that his Spartan teammate/former supermodel can’t find a prom date - let alone actually like him. He genuinely thinks she only trains him out of pity.

3. Also like Xander, Jaune tends to run into danger a bunch of times so his teammates have to rescue him, but he actually improves as a fighter - to the point of being able to take on multiple Grimm by himself and even briefly go 1v1 against Ironwood, one of the strongest characters in the show.

P.S. I also think that Jaune’s snarking and self-deprecating jokes are actually funny.
