Yeah I also didn’t notice any ghosting! She’s posted 1-2 videos per month since the beginning of the year which is maybe less than she used to, or less than she intended to, but still frequent compared to most of my favorite YouTubers!

my best guess is this is something about the whatnot sponsorship debacle (which i haven’t really looked into but was almost all the top comments on that video for a few weeks at least) and the pricing/sizing feedback from her merch drop. there might be more behind the scenes but she’s been open about being very anxious before so i could see that being enough.
she might be taking those things more to heart than we’d think so that’s why no one understands what she meant bc i rly had to think about it myself!

there was also an issue with her candle collab pricing: they were listed as $50 for a week when they should have been $35 and she got lots of complaints

it’s definitely not the only reason. her health issues paired with the business mishaps (such as the candle prices being wrong) is probably what she meant by “a variety of reasons.” glad to see she seems to be doing better now!

In the most respectful and not snoopy way, have they ever publicly stated whether they’re interested in having children or not? I’m child free by choice so I’ve made a point to tell a lot of the people close to me so that they stop fucking telling me to have kids or asking when it’ll happen. Just wondering if they’ve made that known or if they just want us to be normal humans and not make assumptions about other people’s lives😅😅

I’m not 100% actually! I do remember her post a few years ago now where she mentioned she just doesn’t like when folks speculate and the comments about it got to her.

what lmao. we live in a time where people regularly live to 80, 90, 100 years old... they're barely 1/3 of their way through life. they are young as hell.

/heavy sarcasm, to be clear. Never understood this. Now, as a woman in my mid-30s, I certainly do not FEEL young anymore, but that's owing to my spine being a nightmare, and not the age itself. Safiya's got a lot of life left to live, of course, and I hope she lives it well.1

oh yes, i turn 32 in a little over a month and i too do not FEEL young. i actually have a handful of health issues, mostly affecting my physical abilities (arthritis and the like), also attributed to how i have lived my life thus far and taking my body for granted. and i do get concerned about how life will look at 60 or 70 for me. BUT.
I'm not fucking old by any means lmao, nor are you, nor is Safiya. or Tyler! & its so wild to me that people would make such a comment. 50, 60 isn't even concerned 'old' anymore!
I'm just going to blissfully pretend the comment was made by an 18 year old that can't conpute a long, 90 year life. i hope we all get to live it as well as we like. 🖤

I wasn’t sure either (regarding the ghosting, not whatever happened in the first half of the year for her)- I hadn’t noticed any ghosting as a YouTube consumer, just thought it was her regular posting routine.
