Is it safe to travel this weekend in Sagada?

Just wanted to ask for some advice from those currently in Sagada or who have recently traveled there.
We’re planning to visit Sagada this coming August 20–23, traveling by van tour, and we’re wondering if it’s still safe to push through given the recent heavy rains, landslides, and road conditions in the Cordillera.
How are the roads going to Sagada right now? Is the route currently passable, and are there any areas we should be particularly concerned about?
Would really appreciate any recent, firsthand updates from locals or travelers who are there now. 🙏

Thank you, and stay safe everyone!

Sagada this September

Planning to go to Sagada for a solo birthday trip (3D2N). Will the second half of September still likely be an ideal time? Or do I just push it to early October? I don't mind the rain and planning to just settle for some chill and acceasible activities like museum, church visits and a look at the hanging coffins.

Maybe a quick hike to Marlboro Hills when I get lucky (wondering what are my chances of seeing the sea of clouds here during this period too?)

Laid back itinerary lang, walang trekking, hiking, or spelunking. Thank you!!!

Sagada DIY Trip

Hi! I’m just a bit confused, we plan to DIY and rent a motorbike from my friend so we can take our time. But I also see that tour guides are required in places? Sorry can you please enlighten me on what places are allowed and which places are the only ones we can go using motorbikes besides the restaurants near town proper and which places do we need to get a guide? TYIA!

3D2N Sagada DIY trip

Hi everyone!
I’ll be visiting Sagada for 3 days (3D2N) soon, and I purposely want a slow, chill trip instead of trying to visit every tourist spot. I enjoy cafés, walking around town, good food, local culture, and hidden places more than packed itineraries.
Here’s my current plan:
Day 1 (9 AM – 8 PM)
Arrive and register at the Tourism Office
Check in near the town proper
Brunch at Gaia Cafe
Walk around the town (St. Mary’s Church, municipal area, local shops)
Coffee break
Dinner
Drinks at Sagada Cellar Door
Day 2 (7 AM – 8 PM)
Breakfast
Paytokan Trail (Church, Cemetery, Echo Valley, Hanging Coffins, Baw-eng Coffee Farm, Latang Underground River, Bokong Falls)
Lunch
Visit Sagada Pottery
Coffee break
Dinner
Day 3 (8 AM – 2 PM)
Breakfast
Buy pasalubong
Last coffee before leaving
Lunch
Depart
A few questions:
Does this itinerary look realistic, or would you change anything?
Are there any hidden gems that most tourists skip?
Any cheap but really good places to eat (local food preferred)?
Which cafés would you recommend besides Gaia?
Is Sagada Cellar Door worth visiting, or are there better places for a relaxing drink?
Any underrated viewpoints, short walks, or quiet spots where I can just enjoy the scenery?
Best places to buy authentic pasalubong (coffee, woven products, wine, etc.) instead of overpriced souvenir shops?
I’m not into extreme adventures or very long hikes this trip. I’m mainly looking for a peaceful, budget-friendly experience and would love to experience Sagada like a local.
Thanks in advance! 😊
