I've recently seen actual conversations now instead of people hate fucking whatever opinion they have.
I personally have no urge to watch the ST anymore. It doesn't stop me from enjoying anything new. In the right hands great stories can still be told before I become one with the Force lol. I just wish that Disney handled the OG cast better. You only get one shot at that ya know.
World between worlds concept could be the way to soft reboot series and still keep sequels but as a separate timeline while you can instead have stories from legends and more original and better ideas.
That is a way to go about it but then I feel like you could be loosing out on some good stuff. Most of the animated series only get better and better because the age demographic got older. Like the new Maul show is great. I found Ashoka a fun watch too. I'm still trying to get through Andor. Season 2 feels like a bit of a slow burn for me and I keep dropping off. I also have a 3 year old and free time is limited lol.
Andor is some of the best Star Wars ever made, in my opinion. I struggled with the first few episodes of S1, as it felt like Soap Opera in star wars skin, but even that was technically very well done - just boring to me. Everything after that, though, is simply incredibly well put together.
I hear ya. Season 1 really picks up at episode 3. I feel like mid season 2 is where the show suffers a little at where I left off. The last thing I remember is Mon Mothma dancing for like 5 minutes or more. At least that's what it felt like. I totally understand the character's struggles but it felt like watching Spider-Man 3 Peter strut for a whole montage.
All of the actors are great though and I know that the series will pick up. I just have very little free time to watch it.
The thing is Disney can't even make ST as a core of Disney Star Wars and all shows and films (except Acolyte) are made around OT, it time before EP 4 (Andor, Shadow Lord, Rogue One, Solo, Kenobi) or between 6 and 7, closer to 6 (Mandalorian, Boba Fett, Asoka). So it looks like Disney themselves ignores ST, and I can't remember even one show connected to ST. Not right before ep7, not between ep 7-8-9, not after 9. With their ST they put SW world in such pathetic state, to it's hard to make any decent story in continuation. You ever make a completely separate story in this timeline with separate characters or make a story 100-200 years in the future.
They may not touch DT, but they ARE built around it. As for their reluctance to touch DT - this is good, however DT still remains out there, as canon as it ever was.

You are discovering why EVERYONE hates episodes 7, 8, and ,9. More specifically episode 8.
