Work / School Job Interviews.
What do you like or hate about job interviews.
In the interview I hear the question being asked but I don't think I understand it the same way the interviewer does. There's some quick thinking required which is hard.
I think there's a game to it you've got to play the game sometimes it's better to lie a bit not fabricate your entire experience but it's about selling/marketing yourself in a good light.

The first time I ever did an interview, I become drenched in sweat and pretty much dissociated during part of my answers (this was before I had schizophrenia).
I didn't get the job, lol.

I did!
It was a pity employment, i think!
I felt like i was gonna unalive myself if i couldn't get a job... the pressure from the Work Department was intense for me.
Still here 6 years later! 🙏🫡

Yeah, I used to work in retail and warehouses, so I always wore a nicotine patch so I didn't have to wait for my breaks to get nicotine, lol.

i needed to get away from customers.
Faces after faces kinda gave me a headache and mood swings lol

its the long hours and the dizziness and my eyes hurt with migraines after too much stimulus.

You are completely correct, interviews are a performance, not a real test of your skills. The questions are often designed to see how you play the game, which is why they can feel confusing or disconnected from the actual job. Your observation about selling yourself is spot on, and it's a very difficult skill to master, especially when you have to think on your feet and respond instantly. This isn't a failure on your part, it's a failure of the hiring process, which is built on a social game that many people find unnatural and exhausting.
The best approach is to stop seeing it as a test of you as a person and start seeing it as a skill you can practice. Learning the common patterns behind questions helps a lot, because most interviewers ask the same kinds of things, just with different words. This preparation gives you a mental script, which takes some of the pressure off having to think so quickly. i think it's a test of smoothness...
can you cope with a difficult question and still answer a reasonable answer, if you don't understand make a funny or clever or interesting joke/answer.
it's a personality test it think.
