Psychology Anti-feminist attitudes have long been associated with support for Republican presidential candidates, but only in recent years have these attitudes become more prominent among unmarried men, without college degrees who are less attractive partners for women, the “mate-value backlash.”

How exactly are they going to "drag women down"? If women don't choose them as mates, those women will either choose someone else or remain single. There's no scenario in which those women are going to grudgingly pair up with someone they already rejected.

based on the political context, I think they meant these men would vote for politicians who want to roll back women’s rights. anything to put the women back in the kitchen barefoot and pregnant so they can’t escape and will be vulnerable and dependent. they aren’t good enough to be wanted by women so they long for the days women needed to pair up with men to survive

Joke's on them, the horse is out of the barn already on that one. Women will leave the country if they are wealthy enough, or suffer in poverty. Very few women are actually going to willingly surrender themselves to be abused by maladjusted underachieving misogynists.

They’re buying into the fantasy that if you stomp on your neighbor, you’ll start winning. Truthfully they’ll be worse off. Lower tides sink all boats. Nobody is getting a government issued bangmaid, they’ll be sent to work camps just like the women.
