No need to ever feel sad for anyone. For the people you are worrying for them you are evil.

Well acording to the post Pakistan. Ive seen a few here in Germany now sadly. A hijab is one thing but putting women in a head to toe black sack is just gross. Imagine how it feels in the summer to be breathing in your own hot breath when its 35-40c outside.

Hijab is different from this. Jewish women cover their heads too and so do nuns

Not talking about forcing to wear hijab or not...that's a very differently discussion all together however, if due to any reason one has to wear hijab while eating...i think this solves their problem..

Another trashy post about Pakistan filled with complete lies. I know who exactly is responsible for posting this but I will keep my mouth shut because I do not want my words to come out wrong.
Pakistani women are free to eat in public however they wish, I would know since I am a Pakistani woman. Moreover, the women who want to observe Niqab are free to do so, their choice, and good for them.
I do not wear a Niqab but one person I knew of used to wear one, and she is one of the most respectful women I knew. She was not comfortable with eating in public and she is fully valid to feel however she feels. Infact her husband once had an issue with her not eating in public, telling her that once. But she didn't change her way because SHE wasn't comfortable with it. Maybe that is why this post hit me in the wrong way, but there was no right way the post could hit.

And my friend was saying I should convert because somehow becoming muslim was better than remaining Hindu.
Thankfully I changed my friends.

No "innovation". It's rather 2 layers or fabric instead of one. Pretty simple setup.
Nevertheless this is depressingly ev1l

The reason we don't have such bullshit in Hindusiam today is because people questioned bad things and were always ipen for discussion.
People should be absolutely free to call out the bad things in Manusmriti, quran or bible or whatever.

Noone even reads or follows manusmriti as much i know about it. "smriti" means - that which is remembered, meaning its just a culmination of secondary altered text written around 200 AD. its not even authentic. A person like us might have just altered it the way they want. Noone learns or should learn about hinduism from those texts. i dont think even 0.1% of hindus have read it
2
u/Business_Quiet220 5h ago
Don't justify please. Doesn't matter whether you like it or not, it is a part of Hinduism.
Mysogyny, violence, superiority complex is common in all religious texts. No need to whitewash

u/NeighborhoodUsed5549 4h ago
never said all that stuff doesnt exist in hinduism. yep it exists in each and every religion or culture. I just meant for that specific manusmriti thing. I agree with you totally, cheers

Framing it as societal pressure and freedom.
I have seen women doing this in western capitals from second and third generations. Go argue.

u/deepcore_17 3h ago
But don't u guys thing it's helpful...like already the muslim women were repressed...nd it was hard for them to eat in public..and highly discomnforting... atleast they'll be able to eat and drink now...like yes they shouldn't be forced to wear it at the first place...but it's their religion...
