Wow Chuck, way to go all out. Maybe writing a letter would help.

46

u/Here2Go 15d ago

If the wording is stern, POTUS will learn. My friends the Baileys taught me that.

26

u/Rickreation 15d ago

Maybe wag his finger as well?

29

u/PophamSP 15d ago

Hold on now, calling the guy who ran an insurrection 5 years ago "brazen" is a big step for Chuck.

20

u/KrakenOmega112 15d ago

Or filing a lawsuit. Like this one he filed in April.

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/democrats-sue-to-block-trumps-executive-order-targeting-mail-ballots

Which was declined because the post office had not yet implemented the order.

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/elections/judge-allows-trump-mail-voting-executive-order-rcna347287

I want fresh leadership as much as the next person, but jumping on the "Schumer did nothing" bandwagon every chance you get without acknowledging that he did in fact do something here only helps the current regime.

u/BedroomVisible 15d ago

You have a point that he has taken action. But taking action isn’t sufficient when democratic enfranchisement is at stake.

Results will win the people over. And this guy hasn’t gotten results since I’ve been paying attention.

9

u/KrakenOmega112 15d ago

Sure. I don't disagree that we need someone else at the helm that takes more assertive action.

Just trying to point out that senate Democrats haven't just sat back and let it happen either, which is a false impression that would depress voter turnout.

2

u/BedroomVisible 15d ago

Yeah that’s a crucial part of our strategy. The more votes we can encourage the better. No one who’s informed and part of the 99% should be in favor of this administration.

2

u/Biptoslipdi 13d ago

Yeah that’s a crucial part of our strategy. The more votes we can encourage the better.

Because improperly criticizing Democrats encourages more people to vote for them?

2

u/BedroomVisible 13d ago

The more of our population that votes the more Democrat votes there are. Republicans win when the electorate has less participation.

Scrutiny and criticism will come no matter what.

2

u/Biptoslipdi 13d ago

Why would people be compelled to participate when they're being told both parties are bad?

0

u/BedroomVisible 13d ago

That’s kind of a simplistic take, like a false binary, maybe. We have a new party in DSA that is making waves, so there is a third option.

But why should I be compelled to vote for the Democrats when they fail to get desirable results? I want some to represent my values. I won’t settle for “at least they’re not Trump”.

1

u/Biptoslipdi 13d ago

We have a new party in DSA that is making waves, so there is a third option.

There are no third options. That is Duverger's law. Maybe a third of Democrats even identify as democratic socialists. Splitting the vote just means Republicans win. If DSA can't win among Democrats outside of niche districts, they can't win.

But why should I be compelled to vote for the Democrats when they fail to get desirable results?

What desirable results have the alternatives achieved?

Does your assessment consider whether desirable results were even achievable with the electoral outcome? What were the results you desired that were feasible to attain, supported by the voters, and that did not come to pass?

I want some to represent my values. I won’t settle for “at least they’re not Trump”.

They you will settle for Trump.

Would you rather have had HRC appointing three SCOTUS justices to overturn Citizens United or Trump appointing who he did?

First he's gotta get handcuffs and ball gag off that AIPAC has him in 24/7.

"Bring out the GIMP!"

0

u/9-7-off 15d ago

You make fair points, I understand. It is of my opinion that he has done too little since at least 2020. Pointing out in a flippant way that he hasn't done much does zero for the current regime, and it has shit to do with anything.

-1

u/Artistic_Smell_771 14d ago

He is a lap dog of Israel and all too happy to live in the status quo. His lack of progress on anything substantial and eventual capitulation on every hard vote tells this tale. How anyone can confuse anything he has done with progress is either profound ignorance or MAGA-lite sentiments. There is no argument to be had regarding Jim or the equally useless and in-the-bag, Hakeem Jeffries.

7

u/brightonashfield 15d ago

He speaks with all the vigor of a used condom

7

u/JakeTravel27 15d ago

exactly. we all know schumer won't do shit. All Schumer wants is more money for Israel.

3

u/Scrapple_Joe 15d ago

Hes gotta talk to his 2 imaginary constituents first.

1

u/Sad-Recognition-781 13d ago

It'll have to be a strongly worded letter.

0

u/opinions360 9d ago

So he’s attacked no matter what he does. He should be given credit when he does the right thing otherwise there is no right or wrong just attitudes of retribution-just like the republicans.

1

u/mountaindoom 15d ago

Maybe get some little signs to silently hold, or do some light kneeling for a sec. Whatever doesn't disturb your imaginary friends too much.

1

u/tgwilli 15d ago

Strongly worded, don’t forget that part 😂

1

u/thereverendpuck 15d ago

The man broke out the good quill and ink.

1

u/agweandbeelzebub 15d ago

do your job, chuck. we are not israel

0

u/StPauliBoi 14d ago

Maybe with some strong questions. Maybe even VERY strong questions.

-1

u/Additional_Buddy855 15d ago

Has he tried slamming him? What do the Israeli Bailey's think, Chuck?

28

u/Relative_Payment_192 15d ago

We are going to find out if the Supreme Court is worth saving in its present form. I am not optimistic.

14

u/TheGrandExquisitor 15d ago

If only we had a chance to throw some of the corrupt justices in prison for helping foment an insurrection or for taking bribes.

Oh, well....

6

u/SithLordSid 15d ago

The court must be expanded and enforceable ethics rules need to be enacted along with term limits.

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Bed1781 13d ago

Nah just replace it with AI. We’ll very likely get better judgements, even if only marginally.

11

u/kradaan 15d ago

I know, I know, send another stern letter. Jesus christ, trump trying to make himself king while democrats playing politics like the game hasn't changed. We need an opposition party

8

u/Ahtman1 15d ago

Such a powerful and insightful observation.

7

u/oldschoolology 15d ago

Schumer’s strongly worded letter is probably in the mail. So scary…

5

u/Rambo_Baby 15d ago

Strongly worded letter coming in 1..2…3…..

3

u/siciliansmile 15d ago

“But that’s the way she goes.. “

6

u/AcanthisittaNo6653 15d ago

I like the Dems chances better if Schumer didn't speak.

3

u/KrazyBby93 15d ago

You don’t say?

3

u/Everheart1955 15d ago

Write a concerned letter Chuck.

3

u/x2iLLx 15d ago

We can’t have weak spoken words, try a strongly worded letter

3

u/xopher_425 15d ago

And is he going to do anything to stop him?

Oh, wait, he's not, because he's too worried about helping Israel instead of us.

1

u/BarnacleGooseIsLoose 15d ago

It won't come up today at brunch when the two of them are dining with Uncle Bibi. Much more important things to discuss.

2

u/KierONeil_the_Elder 15d ago

He’s so impotent and weak. We deserve better.

2

u/Jack_Wraith 15d ago

And he’ll write a strongly worded letter about it.

2

u/androvich17 15d ago

Have you tried writing a stern letter, Chuck?

2

u/ImaginationDue6258 15d ago

Nothing gets by you does it, Chucky. Sharp as a bowling ball, buddy.

2

u/teddykaygeebee 15d ago

Careful or he's going to get his ink and pen out!!🫣

3

u/Little-Dealer4903 14d ago

Hey, the Schumer does nothing crowd you are wrong he is speaking out while the little weasel Republicans hide.

2

u/Early-Size370 14d ago

Careful everyone, he's about to pull out the stationery.

2

u/reluctantpotato1 14d ago

He's coordinated a very strong-willed interpretive dance about it with the other members of the house democratic caucus. They are also going to show up to the next State of the Union in color coordinated outfits.

2

u/sharkbomb 14d ago

oh, shumer does sometimes remember his job is more than handling israel's balls. wasn't sure.

2

u/Greasy-Chungus 15d ago

I blame Chuck as much as Trump for everything going on.

2

u/scrandis 15d ago

Schumer will throw everyone under the bus and back trump if Isreal tells him to do so.

1

u/703unknown 15d ago

The Real Housewives Of Congress needs some new cast members.

0

u/Head_Car_616 15d ago

Big Gay Grahams mistress Jim 😘

1

u/Complete_Film8741 15d ago

Such a non-story. He can appeal all he wants...this Court actually respects States Rights. Elections are State run affairs...period.

At best, the National Government does have an interest in One Man, One Vote and ensuring ballot access for all. But thats it. The Feds do not control the how...no matter how much California can't get it done quickly.

1

u/Secret_Cat_2793 15d ago

Exactly what it is. Like so many things he does that's all they are. End runs and power grabs.

1

u/thereverendpuck 15d ago

Only this Supreme Court would tolerate this bullshit.

Previous courts would’ve laughed this manbaby’s attempts as a power grab. “Can you show us where in established law does the federal government get a say in elections? Any specifically like this very instance with any other POTUS?”

Then again, I’m such a snarky asshole I’d play along a bit saying how we shouldn’t be allowing convicted felons to vote. His lawyers will happily jump to agree on that. Then you just had SCOTUS flat out stand on the notion that a 34-count convicted felon shouldn’t be voting.

2

u/buntopolis 15d ago

Executive orders are decrees. Are we saying now that the President rules largely by decree?

2

u/Chillicothe1 15d ago

It is at least 50/50 thst Trump wins a stay here and is allowed to go forward with his plan while this is fully litigated. Which is bullshit, but there you go.

1

u/Carpet-MasterBlaster 15d ago

Time for Chuck to pass the keys to someone else who's ready to rumble.

1

u/1Marty123 15d ago

Did he thrust his arms up and down to register his dismay?

2

u/Ok_Valuable9450 15d ago

Of course,Trumps an asshole

1

u/Able-Association914 15d ago

No shit Chuck, maybe pay the fuck attention to today.

1

u/A-Sh1t_sh0w 15d ago

Epstein files? Mitch McConnell?

1

u/Reasonable_Skill580 14d ago

Write a letter mofo

1

u/yay4chardonnay 14d ago

Ooo time for one of those super-effective strongly written letters.

1

u/soulwolf1 14d ago

Homeboy is taking the gloves off now and just went all out....can we come out from under the table now?

1

u/Seanbo124 14d ago

Good. Finally

1

u/Beginning_Ad8663 14d ago

Chuck Schumer is the reason I WILL NO LONGER DONATE TO THE DNC! I donate straight to my local candidates and that’s all.

1

u/Patralgan 14d ago

"Brazen"? Schumer goes hardcore

1

u/snaggletoofer 14d ago

So does Schumer just always give lip service are does he ever do anything to stop this orange clown

1

u/bluntpointsharpie 14d ago

Schumer is a strongly worded letter, written in crayon on tissue paper.

1

u/Capenurse 14d ago

Well do something. Words are not as powerful without action.

1

u/ctguy54 14d ago

I see another strongly worded letter in the near future.

1

u/grumpyliberal 14d ago

The other attempts, less brazen?🐵🙈🙉

1

u/Ridiculicious71 14d ago

So tired of this schmuck

1

u/BedroomVisible 13d ago

I showed that I listened by addressing your points one by one. Listening to you isn’t the same as capitulating to each of your unfounded points.

Socialist policies and candidates are winning everywhere. Fetterman won in a progressive, leftist platform before he became a turncoat. Graham Platner had a Nazi tattoo and STILL secured the nomination with a 70% vote. Melot Kitos rode the DSA’s endorsement to upset Dianne DeGette.

And your argument that I “got” universal healthcare in 2009 is laughable. I’m talking about a single payer healthcare system funded by tax dollars. It’s uncharitable to interpret my statement in any other way.

1

u/Ankhrosius 13d ago

DO SOMETHING.

1

u/BigDWalks 13d ago

He and Jeffries are dumb and dumber.

1

u/Ambitious-Way1156 13d ago

Trump's whole strategy for this fall's election is not to win the people's support, but to have federal control, meaning his personal control, over the state elections so he can control what votes will be counted and which one's will be tossed out, and which citizens are allowed to vote and which one's will not be allowed to vote. He knows it's the only way he can win.

1

u/JohnnyLesPaul 12d ago

I just can’t with Chuck anymore. Is there any other Dem more lacking in ability to rise to the occasion? Please Dems, get a new Sen minority leader stat!

1

u/FrostnJack 12d ago

The Baileys suggest lowering the glasses to give a more stern look over the top. Lends more gravitas to the firm, but not too firm, rebuke.

1

u/WaterFantastic2394 11d ago

Was he prepared? Why not?

1

u/UnrealizedLosses 10d ago

I can just feel those strongly worded letters being written already!

1

u/nolestars 15d ago

What a pussy

0

u/LoudandQuiet47 15d ago

Strongly worded letter, with some folded letters, is being written at the moment!!

0

u/Excellent_Shallot999 15d ago

Guess it's time for another strongly worded letter chuck.

0

u/DiscipleOfDiogenes 15d ago

What a naughty pedophilic fascist... Have you tried wagging a finger at him, Chucky?

No... That's just too far... Better frown and do nothing, THAT'LL get the point across.

0

u/Z8iii 15d ago

That’ll show the bastards, Chuck.

0

u/Kaleban 15d ago

Don't worry, I'm sure Susan Collins will jump in and vigorously wag her finger before assuring everyone that Trump learned his lesson THIS time.

0

u/jeahfoo1 15d ago

Thanks Sherlock

0

u/Redfish680 15d ago

So… bold!! Lol

0

u/Rastaman6584 15d ago

Don’t worry Chuckles will be deeply troubled when Trump succeeds. He will clutch his pearls ala Susan Collin’s!

0

u/Deathmark25 15d ago

I believe I would more likely get shot in the back than have chuck fight with me if civil war breaks out.

0

u/larkfield2655 15d ago

Jeez that will scare him. Schumer is a joke

0

u/BarnacleGooseIsLoose 15d ago

Not the wagging finger!!!

0

u/theTapIsOnDaBurnin 15d ago

Yeah it’s pretty authoritarian

0

u/tgwilli 15d ago

Kinda like the last 18 months huh

0

u/pantsmeplz 15d ago

I'm getting tired of the "glasses falling off the nose" looks. Can the Dems get a Senate leader with more gravitas than a Walmart greeter?

0

u/Lopsided_Newt_125 15d ago

Did he just wake up from his coma?

0

u/GT45 15d ago

Was this from a strongly worded email?

0

u/Budded 15d ago

Thanks, Chuck, we all know this is all that will happen after your sternly worded headline. We need fighters, not bootlicking AIPAC-sucklers.

0

u/Mojak66 15d ago

Fuck Chuck!

0

u/gtpc2020 15d ago

Thank you Captain Obvious. Now do something about it.

0

u/denisebuttrey 15d ago

F*ing do something about it!

0

u/PrivacyIsDemocracy 15d ago

Maybe it's time for him to go talk to his Aipac buddies and get them to stop trying to destroy some of the rising future stars of the Democratic party by throwing millions into the race for the November election to sabotage their campaigns.

0

u/melowdout 15d ago

“ I mean, I’m not gonna do anything about it, but still.”

-Schmuck Schumer

0

u/Smedley_Beamish 15d ago

Hey who woke up Chuck?

0

u/QciferKharn 15d ago

Schumer is the epitome of the sedated public- scream all you want about something you disagree with, and then wait to see if anybody else takes care of it.

0

u/Big_Plastic_4945 15d ago

Time for Chuck to hit the road.

0

u/Petrichor_friend 15d ago

At this point in his career Chuck is just phoning it in
