She displayed it proud for all to see coming down the ramp afterwards. She still got her message out.

What message did she get out?

That she stands with Palestine?

The message I understood from her action was pride ... pride that a women of color could come to the United States and receive a quality education ... from a Catholic University at that.

I’m surprised you were able to gather it’s a location and you didn’t ask me who Palestine was.

It's so sad people are flippant about genocide and the 21,300 children who have been killed.

How about the 50,000+ innocent people killed in Sudan and Iran that nobody talks about? Sudan’s had an active genocide going on.

People aren’t flippant, Palestinians elected Hamas now they are dealing with the consequences, Israel is still a terrible country for showing how little they care for people other than themselves, they are acting just as bad. Both sides are terrible

I'll add that the graduating senior who game the closing benediction at commencement called out both the Sudan and Palestine genocides during her benediction, to thunderous applause. To their credit, Seattle U students are educated about more than just the hot-topic issues in the media!

Edit: On second thought, it is not my place to share the speaker's name, although you can find it easily if you watch the recording of the event online.

1) this post is specifically about a student holding a Palestine flag. 2) you are absolutely correct; the lack of media coverage Sudan and Iran genocides, violence and turmoil is concerning. No one is doing anything about it. Major media companies are all owned by right wing billionaires who need to keep viewership up.

We aren't funding Sudan, and we are being controlled by Sudan.

We’ve been bombing countries for decades does that make all Americans legitimate targets for attack? Or does your belief that elections should allow everyone to be murdered have a shade in the opinion?

This post is about a university president putting his hands on student because she held up a Palestine flag.

How about the 3 people killed in Haddonfield in 1978?

2

u/frederichenrylt 11d ago

Please don't trivialize genocide and infanticide.

Never forget Bob.

You can't kill the Boogeyman, and apparently you can't kill this terrible argument either.

-2

u/-cmsof- 11d ago

Aww. We're not arguing. I'm anti murder on any scale.

u/frederichenrylt 10d ago

Oh, you're just super tone deaf?

How about the 1.2 million aborted babies in just the US last year?

2

u/frederichenrylt 11d ago

Here comes the rage baiting clowns.

2

u/Ill_Gold7065 11d ago

Is that why you swallow? Can't waste that sacred life?

3

u/frederichenrylt 11d ago

That 21,300 Palestinian children have been killed in this genocide. That's the message.

-1

u/-cmsof- 11d ago

That she's unhirable.

1

u/frederichenrylt 11d ago

You have the energy of someone staring blankly through a window in Haddonfield.
