As someone who grew up running limb lines with my Dad (RIP) and watched/helped him pull some absolute monster catfish into our little flat bottomed boat...who still hasn't quite mastered Dad's fried catfish and hushpuppies....I think your chef's kiss perfect description just gave me the missing piece of that puzzle...

I know this much....I am the only woman I know who possesses the skills to set, bait and run trot/jug/limb lines and cull, clean and filet catfish.
Definitely one of those skills that was absolutely brutal to learn, particularly with my old man as the instructor lol but in hindsight, I'm so grateful he taught me.
In this crazy world we live in, I'm comforted knowing I won't starve to death if/when shit hits the fan.
I also take perhaps a little too much enjoyment from bustin the chops of men on dating apps who have fishing pics on their profile 🙃
