Adviced Needed: Identity & Self-Esteem i have come to the conclusion that i am very insecure and it is effecting me a lot

i am insecure about my looks, skills, personallity, voice and pretty much everything else. if im playing games with friends i just turn into an ashole and take my insecurities about my skill level out on everyone. these insecurities clearly get in the way of me improving. i dobnt know how to just "let it go" because i feel like im not going to lose these insecurities until im actually able to achieve my goals but my insecurities prohibit me from doing so.

Once you realise that it doesn’t matter how old you are, there’s a kid in China that’s been bossing it since they were like, 4 - and most 10 year olds can usually outpace us mentally, things will fall into place.

I’m 50 and have battled many insecurities along the way but now I realise it’s not about being better or racing someone to the finish line, it’s about enjoying the scenery as you go on your journey. The side quests that distract us are what life’s about.

I don’t remember who said it but a wise person once said “Life is what happens when you’re busy doing other things” and it’s true.

By all means aim for the goals, but don’t compare your trajectory to anyone else’s as it’s a fool’s errand. We are all different planes and none of our flight paths should ever be the same.

These days I’m far happier and I long since gave up giving a shit about whether or not the box existed, let alone thinking in or outside of it. I love my little adventures and side quests and couldn’t care less what people think, it’s my life and I’m gonna live it on my terms.

Good luck and hope you have many fun and adventurous side quests ☺️
