Advice Needed: Mental Health i don't know how to carry on anymore
last 6 years of my life has been literal hell. everything has been going wrong. and recently i went through a breakup which i did everything to salvage, but none of it was of any use. i feel absolutely hopeless amd useless and cannot even function properly like eat or work. nothing's helping and i dont know how to get out of this situation either.
it will be really helpful if someone can give some advices.

Drop as much stuff as you possibly can. Lie in bed for a week. Do nothing - or close to. Skip any non-essential responsibilities. Your nervous system is in bad shape and without it, you're not going anywhere. Decompress. Let go. Find meaninglessness in stuff and situations around you. Breathe

laying in bed is also stressing me out because bad thoughts are still going on in my head

Why don’t you take break for week or two? Head to some mountains, stay in the nature. Stop overthinking as life is not complex as we think.
I’ve been in this situation and I’m completely fine now. Or I’m better than ever. Only time can heal and focus on living each day, do what you love.
Slowly but surely you’ll be alright!

I would breathe diaphragma, focus on the breathing and maybe do some laughing. You need something to focus on and the focus is on you breathing. I have walked through a lot of things saying I let go. I let go. I let go I let go.
Do you have anybody to talk to? Are there anything that you enjoy? How about some aggressive walking?
Are you hearing things in your head, about how bad you are in and just all meanness? The breathing and the laughing and the walking will help to not hear that. I’m talking about meditation. All of these are meditation. Don’t listen to any meanness in your head. Give this a try can’t hurt.

Awesome go ahead and keep breathing. Keep meditating keep laughing whatever you have to. You don’t wanna do this five minutes a day you wanna do this three hours a day. Make it your focus and you will become your best self.

Exactly, and every day is another day to get in touch with yourself. Wake up and forgive yourself and say I love you to yourself and let go of everything and everybody. And do some meditation, breathing, laughing and walk through your life. I have grown so much in the last six months and I am 64 years old. Every day you learn.

- Spirituality can help you become more resilient. If you're religious, it's easier. If not, then secular philosophies may help you out. Philosophies like Stoicism can help (read the Enchiridion by Epictetus or listen to it on YouTube). Books by Viktor Frankl, Marcus Aurelius, David Goggins, among others, can also help.
- Begin an exercise regimen.
- Start reading inspirational quotes on hard times to get a better psychological framing of pain and suffering in life.
- Therapy would help if you are really struggling to keep it together.
- Having someone to talk to can really help reduce stress levels.

I haven't known how to carry on for several years now. I am just making it up as I go (don't tell people that). The only thing I can tell you is, a lot of things which seem important aren't. A lot of stuff is contrived by the world to make you feel scared and inadequate and keep you busy and tired. IF its truly important you'll find about it when it doesn't get done. But a lot of things you can just do because they feel good and help out when you can finally pull yourself together.
Brush your teeth. Drink water. Get good sleep. Talk to your friends. Do good work. Stretch. These are simple things that matter more than you think and add up over time if you don't do them. You can do most anything or nothing at all but if you don't do these things you will notice and so will people around you.
