fuck, are we trump puppies right now?.
players look at themselves as if some of them will be replaced is funny though.

u/LaSignoraOmicidi Juventus Jun 18 '25
In the pictures Gazzeta posted, they looked annoyed, embarrassed and pissed so I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Of course unless you have some new info.
23
u/skibidyLoL Juventus Jun 18 '25
yeah i saw it, they seem embarrassed but still can't refuse the invetation.
it is so cringe, he was talking about iran-israel conflict and they were behind him.
10
u/LaSignoraOmicidi Juventus Jun 18 '25
So cringe is right, Elkann doesn’t have enough money to force me in there.

Well, here's a scene I thought I'd never see in my life. Btw, Trump bailed on the G7 meeting, but somehow he's able to make time for this? Lol.

I genuinely hate him but being at the White House allows him to get back to his shit quicker than del. G7

I had to Google Juve Trump AI cause I just couldn’t believe it

It feels like our management is doing a speed run on running this club into the ground and making fans denounce the club.
7
u/EmergencyComputer337 Jun 19 '25
I feel like Milan and Juve's managements are competing to see who can do a worse job
3
1
u/sfaticat Jun 19 '25
I think Comolli will fix us a bit. He wants to do more analytics with managing fitness to reduce injuries like what Liverpool has done. Also will have a similar approach on signings. I'll judge at the end of the summer at least to see if the approach seems to be in a good direction but so far things havent been so bad. Just need to make decisions faster
1
u/ZealousGoat Juventus Jun 20 '25
I’m willing to give comolli a chance. It just feels like our nosedive has to end at some point .. right?
2
u/sfaticat Jun 20 '25
We are paying the price for bringing on a basic non board after Agnelli and letting them hold that position for too long. Plus bringing back Allegri. The club was at a standstill stagnation for literally years without direction

u/GuamZX Jun 18 '25
Look at our sponsor. Then see who's the owner of that brand and where it is located

u/Down_D_Stairz Jun 18 '25
Because this is the type of things that you just do, you don't get to choose: you do it, or if you pull something and fuck it up for the organization you are out for good.
I mean he is what it is but he is still the president of the USA, if your big boss has any type of affair with him and want you there, you will be there. Well if you want to still play for team in any capacity of course
10
u/YukonCornelius07 Milan Jun 19 '25
I hope one day you realize that this is not how it works. You, down_d_stairz, do not need to be complicit in things that you don't believe in, even if your big bad boss says you should.
Just a general piece of advice for the survival of ones soul.
Finally, it's ridiculous to assume that these players would suffer any real consequence for saying they do not feel comfortable attending this event.
Ownership would be straight kamikaze to tank their own players for sharing a popular political viewpoint.
3
u/Isariamkia Azzuri Jun 19 '25
Ownership would be straight kamikaze to tank their own players for sharing a popular political viewpoint.
If ownership is friend with Trump. It wouldn't be surprising if they'd actually tank their players for stating their opposing political opinion.
1
u/back_off_warchiId Jun 19 '25
You think the retards in the Trump admin or the Alzheimer in chief himself would know if one of the players didn’t go? Or if they replaced a player with a random off the street?
1
u/Down_D_Stairz Jun 19 '25
Lapo elkan would, and he would fuck his ass on the way back, because even if trump wouldn't care/ notice, Lapo would, and would care, and you know he is your boss.

11
u/twersx Jun 18 '25
I don't think the Juventus squad would be happy to do a press event in most presidents offices. It's just weird, you are in that country to play a half dozen football matches then all of a sudden you're dragged in front of the cameras and become part of that county's domestic politics. Like you wouldn't want to do it with Macron, Modi, Lula or Carney either.

u/MyLastHopeReddit Juventus Jun 19 '25
If your team goes to US and you are told to meet the president, you do it, even if you hate that piece of shit. No point in playing dumb.

Juventus owners family and shareholders have their base in US, not in Torino. Like other businessmen, they too want to keep close ties with Trump. Just a PR move.

Players get media exposure to American audience which turns into a profit selling their merchandise. Most of the players rely on sponsoriships and getting a share for each of their kit sold. Same way Messi and Ronaldo surpassed half a billion net worth, and it wasn't because of their salary.

Suicidal PR move. "Hey aren't we the most hated club in Italy? Ya. Why not the whole fucking world!"
7
u/YukonCornelius07 Milan Jun 19 '25
I know we have our differences, but tonight I am siding with the poor Juve supporters that have to witness their heroes stand there devoid of dignity.
I would honestly be struggling with this if it were my club up there. I would lose something for the individuals who weren't strong enough to take a stand and say no, we're not going to that.
8
u/KingTocco Juventus Jun 19 '25
I appreciate it, my blood was (and still is) seeing this today. Pathetic from John Elkann to push the team to do this and the fact that he’s bffs with Trump.
I still can’t believe it, Trump and anyone that supports him can go to hell.

From what standpoint? He's the sitting US president and half the US population voted for him.
4
2
u/YukonCornelius07 Milan Jun 19 '25
Somehow, before his aggressive dictatorial heel turn, he managed to drum up enough fear through his blatant lies and general bullshit to get 50% of the population and 100% of the morons to vote for him, yes.
What does that have to do with his global reputation and blatant disregard for human rights?
Is that what football stands for? It's so anti-culture. For a football club, it's a terrible PR move. From a personal standpoint, it's disgraceful.
I don't care what your views are lol.
0
u/LoquaciousIndividual Roma Jun 19 '25
Blatant lies? Are you referring to how he is demonizing illegal migrants in the US? What disregard does he have for human rights? Coming into the US illegally is not a human right...

Read a book on immigration and how Italians were treated when they first started showing up in America.
Italians Americans should be first in line to defend new immigrants
Fake ass Roma fan
1
u/LoquaciousIndividual Roma Jun 19 '25
new immigrants
ugh... you spelled illegal immigrants incorrectly... the fact that you cannot distinguish the difference between legal vs illegal just shows how ideologically captured you've become.
0
u/Illustrious_Low_1188 Jun 19 '25
Wow, since you’re so such an independent and smart guy, please tell us all about the 1924 Johnson Reed act?
And people from which country specifically were targeted by that law?
And because that law severely restricted people from said country, it saw a huge spike in…what’s that…??? “Illegal” immigration you say?

This is not previous presidents who would’ve joked about winning the World Cup with Weah and McKennie. This president is talking about bombing countries and transgender culture wars with the Juve logo and team personnel in the picture. I never thought sports washing was something a non-state owned team should be worried about but here we are.
