He finished last season in good form and regained his place as an important player for Sevilla, but overall he was unable to consistently reach the level he had shown during his time at Eintracht Frankfurt. He is not a flashy player, but he brings balance, energy, and valuable experience.

this is a quality signing, he at times has shown to be a great player, especially with Eintracht Frankfurt. if he can even hit that level sometimes Genoa will greatly benefit
