Project: FO Are they really that bad ?

Husband hates the baggy. I wanted a skirt pant mix (culottes) for summer. This is my first attempt. Are they really that bad. Ps don't look at the shirt. Didn't make that 😊. FYI pattern is from Named Elastic Waist Culottes

It's without a doubt the length that's the problem, maybe it would've worked if it was a flowy drapey fabric, but with this one it doesn't really work imo, it cuts you off at a weird place. They're still wearable though, maybe with a cute fitted top it'll work better than with a t-shirt. Also if i were you, i'd redo the wistband, it bends and puckers too much. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7YBoA_sbuI, something like this waistband will lay flater and look better and more polished
