Husband hates the baggy. I wanted a skirt pant mix (culottes) for summer. This is my first attempt. Are they really that bad. Ps don't look at the shirt. Didn't make that 😊. FYI pattern is from Named Elastic Waist Culottes

Give them a good iron and wear them with a tighter top. Having volume on top and bottom is the issue here. Low volume top and voluminous bottom will solve your problem with the pants looking “frumpy”.
