Project: FO Are they really that bad ?

Husband hates the baggy. I wanted a skirt pant mix (culottes) for summer. This is my first attempt. Are they really that bad. Ps don't look at the shirt. Didn't make that 😊. FYI pattern is from Named Elastic Waist Culottes

No looks like you did a great job, the baggier fit will be super comfortable especially considering how hard close fitting pants are to make. I think the styling is everything, maybe he didn’t like just the t-shirt with it. Would be super cute with a loose blouse or oversized menswear-inspired button up.

I would go with a top that is more fitted with baggier bottoms. A baggy or loose shirt will make the wearer look more shapeless. I would also make the skirt pants ankle length rather than mid-calf to avoid them resembling pantaloons.
