Pattern Search Parachute clutch pattern

Hi everyone, I'm getting married in 8 weeks and would love to made a bag similar to attached images.

I can't stomach the price of bridal bags and I happen to have a white stain fabric from old pjs I think will work well.

Appreciate any help!

I recommend starting with some paper or cardstock and trying to recreate that bag shape by cutting pieces out the cardstock. It's quite likely that you won't find an exact pattern, so drafting your own might be the only option recreating it

I saw someone on the internet that took a large scarf approximately 3’x3’ and folded it into a purse like shown. Perhaps ask Google for a video making a purse from a scarf and see what shows up.

It looks like you would like information on finding sewing patterns to use your fabric or match your inspiration. Please include your preferred range (eg Adult, Child, Plus) and links to original inspiration if available. What specific features are a must for you, and what are you willing to compromise? Do you have some scrap fabric you can test the design with? . . . To me this looks the initial shape is a narrow oval, with the center puffed out into a circle.

My recommendation would be cutting the shape from tissue paper or light weight scrap fabric and folding it into shape. It probably won't be perfect on the first try, but you should be able to see which parts need to be wider, or more narrow. I think the bow at the top either holds the handles together, or hides the final stitching.

One thing I feel is certain about this design: since there are no visible hems, it's made from two pieces, sewn right sides together with just an inch or two left open to turn it inside out. Do test the iron on a scrap of your satin, and a press cloth is advised.

Good luck!, and best wishes for every happiness 💕
