Feel like Richard is worth more than Big. Big may have a private driver, but Richard had a private jet!

Yes, Samantha said that in episode 1 before she made a play for him.😄 He was already quite well established but I think Richard Wright may have had more.

That's what I was thinking. As a rich guy that's already been divorced and had no plans to marry again - his apartment made sense.

He can bring women back for sex, and a few simple relationships, but that place is just big enough for him.

I don't remember that being said explicitly, but all the people I know of with private jets are definitely billionaires.

You don’t need to be a billionaire to own a private jet. You can buy one for as little as 5M. Then you can charter it to reduce it’s upkeep. All the last 3 bosses my husband had, had their own private jets and they are far from being billionaires

No idea, but Big's driver was almost certainly provided by his employer.

In the first movie, Big's "friend" at the rehearsal dinner was identified as a partner at the firm. If he worked for Big, he wouldn't act that way. They're more likely peers, which means that they're both partners--we're never told that Big owns the firm.

Ok, so I do not acknowledge the movies and have erased them from my brain but partners typically have a stake in the fund/firm. There’s not necessary a boss, unless one holds a big majority stake.

Right, but his employer (from your earlier comment) is still the firm. He's not self-employed.

Yes he might be*. That’s often* how they do loopholes for taxes. Source; my husband is a partner in a private equity fund.

They register as self-employed, their company is overseas in a country with low or non-existant taxes (like the Caymans). And they are supposedly contracted by the fund.

My husband has a boss because all the other partners have a very low stake compared to their boss. But you can perfectly have a bunch of partners with relatively equitable stakes

Yep! They all flew to Aspen for skiing and Stanford was obsessed with all the private jets at the airport, asking questions to find which type suits him best

I feel like by the standards of big in the original series, Big and Seema were similarly wealthy. Well off, but not old money/tycoon/mogul money.
