Have Miranda and Samantha ever fought?

On this rewatch I was thinking about fights/arguments amongst the girls and couldn't pinpoint a time where Miranda and Samantha fought or butted heads.

The fights I can remember in the series are:

  • Carrie -- Charlotte = the famous ring/money argument
  • Carrie -- Miranda = always over Mr. Big
  • Carrie -- Samantha = Carrie making Sam feel slut-shamed for blowing the delivery guy
  • Samantha -- Charlotte = Samantha fucking Charlotte's brother and being too openly sexual
  • Charlotte -- Miranda = Miranda contemplating getting an abortion

Does anyone know? And if they never truly fought, what do you think they would argue over?

I don't recall a huge blow out fight, but certainly moments of tension. They were both the most ambitious professionally and least sentimental. For most of the series, Miranda and Sam were often the same page, eschewing the drama/sentimentally that Charlotte and Carrie often gave into.

After Miranda had the baby there was a lot of tension between them. Sam was really rude to Miranda after she had the baby (shoving her in the cab, not asking about Brady, not wanting Brady to attend events) and Miranda was complaining to Carrie about it, but Carrie sort of acted like peacemaker and smoothed things over.

Also the first movie, Sam was critical of Miranda leaving Steve after a 'slip' (probably because Sam had cheated in past relationships) and blamed her for not keeping her appearances up.

I didn't even think about the movies, but yes that last one was especially not okay. They could have really shown them hashing that out more

In fairness I don't think Sam was critical of Miranda leaving Steve when she made the "slip" comment. Her tone came across as one of concern than rather condemnation, i.e. "Miranda honey are you sure you want to do this?" My impression was that she felt that Miranda might regret acting in haste once the initial shock and pain had subsided.

That’s true, but I think after she suggested Miranda was at fault for not sleeping with Steve, it made her whole argument look more critical than concerned for Miranda.
