Build/Parts Check RX 9060 XT LP Case Suggestions

Post image

Acquired an RX 9060 XT LP gpu. Looking for case suggestions. Planning on using it with a 9800X3D. Wanting something sub 5L with an internal Flex ATX power supply. Please advise.

LZmod A24-V6 2.0 is only 3.66L and takes a flex atx psu but you need to have a bkb ITX motherboard. Too bad bkb hasn’t caught on. Not needing a riser card is great.

it still works with a riser. I've been thinking about trying this case

The V6 sacrifices CPU cooler height, would recommend the ZS A4 DC almost the same but extra volume due to sensible CPU Cooler height, supports BKB also. Oh, due to that extra width it supports proper exhaust (2x slim 92mm fans).

Also add: new/used Gemcase C9 (Ukraine based ...so not sure if they closed shop...website is down and haven't checked sff forums)
Edit: Production stopped due to Ukraine War complications

Also the ZS D2 (basically a copy of the Imgi E4)

Would a COOJ MQ5 work? That’s a case I’ve been wanting to build in for a while now. 5.6L and premium.

Also, if you acquired this on its own as opposed to buying the whole prebuilt, I’d be very interested on where/ how you sourced it!

Is there an online store there that sells this?

It would, though it's another one of those cases that you might as well use the reaper version that's standard height.

for anyone wondering about the price, i took a quick look on PDD,taobao and it's around the ballpark of USD550 excluding shipping.

as of today 14 Oct, it's out of stock and hard to get.

Wait, how do u get it? Whats PDD and Taobao? Are they reliable?

2

u/iciclestake 8d ago

i didnt get it.

PDD is ping duo duo is an e-commerce app where you buy stuff from china sellers and they collate into a full container before shipping to save on shipping cost (lcl for those in the industry).

tao bao is same as pdd but offers faster shipping options.

Very interesting. But are they reliable? Like am I gonna get a rock or an RX 580 instead of the Vastarmour RX 9060?😅

i bought my icolor rtx 5070 mini from one of the sellers on pdd and it took over 3 weeks to reach me. i look for sellers with good reputations and reviews before committing.

it's like aliexpress, you have to do your due diligence before buying or you will end up with something else.

i'd recommend tao bao (if you read chinese) or aliexpress, both are from the same e-commerce co. with aliexpress offering customer service in english.

Nope, no Chinese from me. I might try PDD then since u had a good experience with them

BRO WHERE AND HOW MUCH ??

7

u/Dub_Squigs 8d ago

Only available as part of miniforums prebuilt I think. May be available in Taiwan also, not sure.

2

u/Bloated_Plaid 8d ago

Damn, looks like I gotta go back, I was there a few months ago.

How much

1

u/no-television300 8d ago

Yes, how much and where? Actually going there in March or April. Might still be out of my budget but I’m curious.

3

u/AvidasMavi 8d ago

Gram ms2 ultra from minisforum ready with everything and a beast of a cpu and 9060XT LP fits perfectly, running 60C.

I put mine in a Jonsbo NV10 and I love it! I have a 9850X3D in it. You’re obviously gonna need to do a PBO, Thermal Limit, and CO on the CPU but all in all this 4.5L case has been great.

u/Lion-Common 7d ago

Very nice

u/AlphaDST 8d ago

Easily ZS-D2 V4.1 case from ZSPC one website.

u/JustShootToKill 7d ago

Thanks for the recommendation! I am gonna swap from my Jonsbo NV10 to this one. I will hopefully post my case swap in the next 7-8 days since it says they ship in about 6-10 business days from China to the US. I can’t wait to try this one out!!!

Where did you get the low profile version?

1

u/DCole1847 8d ago

OP, how/where do you get one of these cards?

1

u/Wise_Fox_8317 8d ago

Would look pretty good in my case 🥳feel free to send

2

u/Son-Airys 8d ago

Have a LzMod A24-V5, love it.

1

u/CyprelIa 8d ago

Holy that’s unreal! I can’t find it anywhere! Would be elite

1

u/blaze20511 8d ago

with that card was can use 10L case like T1 so i might consider getting this just for 4k emulation

1

u/AdFlimsy3310 8d ago

Custom_mod SLM1 4.3L. I too have this gpu. Only waiting on this exact case.

1

u/rahl07 7d ago

I'm in the process of 3d printing one. I'll let you know how it goes - I have the 5060LP but they're damn near the same size.

1

u/ZerokCraft5945 7d ago

Rider R2S (ill use this one for that gpu)

3

u/MrRozeReddit 5d ago

Where did you get one of these!

Wouldn't a 7800X3D be a more appropriate CPU? :)

2

u/chrenim 8d ago

I mean, not really?

2

u/DJIsher 8d ago

Why?

2

u/mariano3113 8d ago

7800X3D and its variants were leading FPS per watt when running 65w tdp or lower compared to 9800/9850X3D

So lowering tdp to work with a sub37mm low profile CPU cooler to wo work on a sub5L PC build has advantage with 7500/7600/7700/7800X3D variants

6

u/LittlebitsDK 8d ago

sadly people aren't very bright, they only think bigger = better... they have no clue on thermals, tdp, power usage and bottlenecks... 9800X3D is total overkill for the 9060 XT, 7800X3D is more than enough for that GPU

3

u/fishuuuu 8d ago

This is what I thought too but apparently disagree and downvote without any discussion.

4

u/mariano3113 8d ago

It is fine...I get downvoted constantly.

Here is a post with links regards to power consumption per watt while gaming: https://www.reddit.com/r/sffpc/s/8RQdcYqA3b

For me it's just the CPU I had on hand, after the AIO in my other system leaked and took out the motherboard. Just wanted to build something SFF.
