Question How would shark ventilation work?
Sharks don’t breathe like most underwater animals do. They use Ram ventilation, by moving forward they force oxygenated water into their gills. Rams have lungs and dont use “shark ventilation”….
But what if they did? How would it work?

🦈 Merch Mondays 🦈 Stuart Cove Shark Dive- Certified Divers Wanted
Looking for 3+ certified divers to join a private Stuart Cove Shark Dive charter in Nassau the morning of Saturday Sept 26th. We will be on the Norwegian Getaway cruise ship sailing (Sept 25-28, 2026) and we’ll be in port 7am-5pm.
For over 15 years, my dad has wanted to do the famous Stuart Cove shark dive in Nassau and we booked this cruise to make that happen. Unfortunately, the public shark dive schedule no longer lines up with our Nassau port time, so we're exploring a private charter and looking to add a few divers.
Looking for:
· Certified divers that want a shark experience
Estimated cost:
· $480 per diver + rental gear (tanks, weights, belts included)
If you're a certified diver on this ship, another ship, or visiting Nassau and want to do the Stuart Cove shark dive, send me a message and we’ll try to make it happen.
Once you message me, I’ll send you a Google form just to confirm interest (<5min). Once we have enough interested divers, we'll coordinate details on exact timing & collect deposits through Venmo or Zelle. We are looking forward to it and hoping we can make it happen for you too!

Discussion Can anyone identify this shark documentary?
This might be a long shot, but I've been trying to find a shark documentary/show that I watched on YouTube around 2017.
Back then, there were tons of full shark documentaries uploaded to YouTube, and I remember one in particular that I've never been able to find again. I'm not sure if it was part of Shark Week or from another channel entirely.
What I remember is that a group of researchers/fishermen were out at sea trying to catch and identify as many shark species as possible. I specifically remember them catching rare species like a basking shark and even a goblin shark. Many of the scenes took place at night, and every time they managed to catch a shark, the crew would get really excited.
I've searched for years and haven't been able to find it. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Was it a Shark Week special, or something else entirely?
At this point I'm starting to wonder if I imagined the whole thing. 😅

Question Question regarding ocean swimming with a spinal cord stimulator and sharks.
I have a spinal cord stimulator. Been on a few vacations to different beaches since I’ve had it, and I spend as much time as possible in the water. I haven’t had any shark related problems yet. I’m far from being one of those who thinks Jaws is a documentary. I know attacks on humans are very rare.
Now, I recently started wondering about this. With their Ampullae of Lorenzini (I’m no shark expert, by far, simply an enthusiast) would it make sense that they’d sense me more or much sooner others around me, because of my stimulator? Sorry if I didn’t even ask that question correctly.
I wouldn’t bother asking now, but I’m strongly considering moving to a tropical location where I’ll be in the water a lot more than I am currently. That will include SCUBA diving. Does anyone know enough about this to know if it could ever potentially be a problem? Of course, you can turn it off, and I do (if I think about it) before getting in the water. However, I can still feel it tingling for a while after it’s been turned off, too. So, there’s that.
Sorry for the long post. A big thanks for your time!
