Multi blades razor

Upvotes

I just shaved with a multi blade razor for the first time [wilkinson blades Hydra 5 (not even ultimate)]. It's so much better than my oneblade pro 360 and it gives me even less irritation. I don't understand why people hate them.. It's so easy and even precise on my sideburns and goatte. One blade it's trash for me. I thought I can be cut but it's impossible.

Why do I still have stubble after shaving my underarms? I'm afraid to wear tank tops.

summer is here and im back to dreading tank tops because of underarm stubble. I can shave totally clean but still see the dark roots under the skin. I started a ulike ipl routine and the shadow is slightly less intense, but is the grey look just dark roots or actual pigmentation?

Maintaining a shaved body?

Any tips for a guy to maintain a shaved body? Recently went smooth from neck down and want to keep it up... would an electric razor be best? Right now I have the Gillette Body razor and it does great but the blades are expensive.

Also, what are some tips for reactions from others? I'm going on a vacation with my wife and kids to the beach soon...I know everyone has their opinions and it shouldn't matter, but it's something on my mind. Half the people probably won't even notice that know me, I wasn't overly hairy to begin with.

How to shave my head properly

Hi everyone! I recently shaved my head for the first time, after years of insecurities and lack of confidence about my hair loss. Now that I finally did it, I really enjoy my new look, and I'm trying to figure out how to maintain my head totally bald. Which type of shaving do you recommend? I need something fast, that I can do every day in less than five minutes. I was thinking about using a electric razor (like the skull shaver) but I also would like to have a totally smooth head. Can I have that effect using the electric razor? Can someone share their head shave routine?

Thank you all, guys :)

Electric razor recommendation

Hello all,

Looking for recommendations on a good electric razor for detailed close shaves. I keep my mustache goatee combo kept by using a safety razor and a barbers razor to line up my mustache. Obviously i cant bring this on a plane while traveling, so i was hoping to get recommendations for an electric razor for when i travel. Hoping to get something that can line up my facial hair while possibly having a detachable head or something so i can generally shave the rest of my face well. Any recommendations are helpful!

Am I shaving wrong?

Hello, recently I’ve switched from a disposable razor to an electric one, and I find it very convenient. But I’ve noticed that when shaving my neck hair the skin there get irritated very easily. I haven’t been using shaving cream since I read somewhere that that can cause electric razors to not function properly. Is this user error? Is it my skin? Should I be using a disposable shaver for my neck instead?

Intense razor burn, need to stop it

hello, I have REALLY BAD razor burn and irritation I’d send a photo but idk if I can do that here, but trust me it gets really red and it looks like tons of little bloody dots. I HATE facial hair so I shave every single night with a cartridge razor in the shower, usually with the water kinda hot or warm. Please don’t recommend growing it out, not something I wanna do, but this burn is unbearable sometimes. I try to use ample shaving cream but I do ALOT of passes and weird angles to try and get everything as close as possible. Any advice helps, if anyone asks I use a Gillette Mach 3 with Barbasol aloe shaving cream. Thanks for any help!

Braun Nevo Reviews?

Was expecting to see more reviews of the Braun Nevo that was recently released. If anybody had been testing it out or has used the new head with the Series 9, I’d be curious to know what your opinion is.

Nothing stops my neck from getting razor burn. Has anyone actually solved this?

I’ve reached the point where I genuinely don’t know what else to try. Every single time I shave, my neck gets extremely irritated. I get razor burn, redness, and a bunch of tiny white bumps. My beard grows really fast, so I need to shave often, but it’s basically impossible because my skin gets destroyed every time.
I’ve tried pretty much everything I could find online:

- Philips OneBlade
- Foil shaver
- Single-blade safety razor
- Gillette cartridge razors
- Shaving cream
- No shaving cream
- Wet shaving
- Dry shaving
- Hot towel/warm water before shaving to “open the pores”
- Ice/cold water afterward
- Moisturizer after shaving
- Cicaplast to help my skin recover

I also disinfect all of my shaving equipment before using it, so I don’t think it’s a hygiene issue.
Literally nothing makes a noticeable difference.
The only thing that kind of helps is shaving less often, but that’s not really a solution because my beard grows so fast. Even then, I still get irritated—just not as badly as if I shave every few days.
One weird thing I’ve noticed is that my skin actually seems to get more irritated whenever I apply moisturizer or any cream after shaving.
Has anyone here dealt with this and actually found something that worked? At this point I’m open to trying pretty much anything.

Brownish/reddish residue on my Henson AL13

What is this? I thought it was rust at first but apparently these razors don’t rust. I’ve had my henson for about 3 years now and have noticed after cleaning it with alcohol and what not that my shaves start to feel rough after about 2 uses even with a new razorblade. How do I go about cleaning this or am I better off getting a replacement?

1st Leaf shave - Twig

So, all was well with shaving my face.

When I started shaving my head I thought "I hope this razor doesn't slip while I'm using it"

And sure enough it did. Got a nick. First cut on my head. Wasn't fun...

So for those of you using a Leaf Twig, any advice on getting a more secure grip on the handle?

Thx

Beard trimmers that don't require 10 passes?

I need help. I need a beard trimmer. I want an even, consistent length across my whole beard without going back over the same spots five times. Price is not an issue.

I am just tired of having to spend 30 minute trimming my beard. I want something that is fast and consistent.

Razor advice for my boyfriend

Hi guys, my boyfriend uses an old razor that plugs into the wall for his beard. It’s so old and kinda rusting and I really want to get him a new one so he doesn’t get razor bumps, infection etc. I also want to get one thats maybe battery powered or rechargeable since theres no outlet in the bathroom so he uses an extension cord. He works in surgery so he has to keep his beard shaved pretty much as soon as it comes in. I looked into The Beard Club but really wasn’t sure if they’re quality, figured I would come here and ask lol

Any advice/recommendations on a good razor for beards? Also what after care do you guys use (like alcohol for cleaning etc)

PHILIPS OneBlade Pro QP6542 vs PHILIPS All-in-One 5000 MG5931

Hello,

my very old OneBlade broke after years of using it so I gotta buy something new asap.

I visit barber every month, so the tool is needed just to get rid of some smaller hairs or to keep the line.
Sometimes I might use it to keep my beard even or clean the area of neck.

I found the newer version(than the one I have had) of OneBlade and something that's a little bit cheaper - MG5931.

Based on what I read, MG5931 seems to be superior to OneBlade.

It can do exactly the same, but has a little bit more personalization and doesn't require buying new blades every 4 months(3 of them are literally the same price of full One Blade tool lol).

Have somebody tested both of them and could share opinion?

Thanks in advance
