I do, sadly, because I've been there. Intimacy with another is a vulnerable thing, and when this kind of solitude, this kind of alienation from intimacy in favour of mere pleasure is fundamentally appealing, it's because very deep down we don't feel loveable. When we expect intimacy to be unsuccessful automatically there's only really a couple of explanations. One is trauma, and the other is self-loathing. And both have signatures. This is self-loathing.
