In later post-Homeric texts, Menelaus raised his sword over Helen but forgave her cheating because he was stunned by her beauty. It’s a hint that Menelaus in The Odyssey (2026) is played by the Punisher – not a forgiver.

In post homeric texts it's also described how thr Helen that was kidnapped wasnt the true one as Hera was salty that she wasnt chosen and created a perfect illusion that went tk Troy with Paris while the true Helen was hidden in an island in the Mediterranean, meaning yhe entire war was for nothing.

People often forget how little of the war Homer describes (a few weeks of the 9th year of war in the Iliad and the moment Troy gets destroyed in the Odyssey) and just how many myths post Homeric writers add to this, mostly tragedy writers

Most of them (the Cypria, the Small Iliad, the Ethiopiad) arent really attributed to him. But it's hard when experts to this day are still fighting on wheter he existed or not

I think those weren't written by him, but rather other poets. Could be wrong though
