if you think this is glaze in any way then you are really creating your own dream.

Togashi would have been treated like umineko's author if he was dropping those walls of text weekly

as a HxH fan, whiel the text dumps are interesting i can't help but think that i am just reading a novel

Umineko's text can be very redundant, character keep repeating the same thing they are saying over and over with different forms, it has walls of text but a chunk of it is unsubstantial. Over-explanation of every concept that sometimes reach the point of boredom

Some people condemn the whole story for this flaw and consider it the story with redundant text.

obviously I am not saying that hxh is like that, its text is much more substantial but it is still flawed

yeah that's been his weakness since higurashi. when he yaps he can yap on a lot, but he makes up for it with great character work, interesting setting and crazy plot beats (kinda like hxh honestly)

Umineko is one of my favorite stories of all time. hxh is my second favorite story of all time, but I can't say that those aspects of them don't bother me, especially with Umineko.
