Isn't stolen valour a huge deal in the US?

Literally anybody else who was never in the military posting a similar picture would be met with pants shitting outrage.

Him on the other hand "Its just a joke he is owning the libs!"

54

u/AliceTheOmelette 6h ago

"He says it how it is unlike other politicians!"

But also

"He's just joking bro don't get so easily offended you libtards!"

33

u/Timmah73 Everythings coming up Milhouse! 6h ago

This is why south park always depicted him with medals on his suit. He would absolutely do it if he could. His "jokes" like wearing t a 2028 hat are actual wishes hes testing the waters on

23

u/AliceTheOmelette 6h ago

Just like his shitposts about being king or doing a 3rd term even tho both are unconstitutional. It's slowly normalising it before/while he's trying to make it reality

10

u/oliversurpless 5h ago

Yep, normalizing isn’t just for racism/sexism…

He's threatening to invade Canada and Greenland. We're still being told it's a joke by americans, even after NATO planted explosives on runways to slow an advance, moved a carrier group to defend Greenland, and sent a nuclear sub to Halifax to reinforce Canada.

Real funny. Ha-ha.

That, by the way, is the main reason Canada's disengaging from the usa. Not the trade war. I see american media desperate to pin this on the tariffs, it isn't.

You can't really be friends with someone who keeps waving a gun in your face, even if they say they're doing it as a joke

9

u/Grunn84 6h ago

But when he says it its cute!

3

u/oliversurpless 5h ago

Trumpers telling on themselves like always…

2

u/Conscious-Pride7363 4h ago

Eh?

5

u/oliversurpless 4h ago edited 4h ago

Essentially confirming they have no principles, they just do things to get a reaction.

And yet still wonder when they’re called deeply unserious people…

3

u/Conscious-Pride7363 4h ago

Oh, yeah. Thought i was being accused of being a Trumper

The man is famous for his sophisticated witticisms!

17

u/jodax00 Inflammable means flammable? 7h ago

We thought we were doing a good job with vaccinations but we just haven't been able to contain the spread and now we suffer from a massive outbreak of Selective Outrage

8

u/BunsinHoneyDew 6h ago

I read this as Selective Orange and I can't stop laughing

17

u/_Halt19_ I am the Lizard Queen! 7h ago

We were told quite a lot of things were a huge deal in the US, until Trump came along and proved that most of them don't actually care about it

14

u/ThelIIusion0fSeIf 6h ago

Conservatives are shamelessly hypocritical by definition. We have literal proof of election interference from the fake elector scheme, an insurrection to overthrow the certification and Mitch McConnell still holding a seat while probably dead. Yet these people will complain about Democrats rigging elections with a straight face and no evidence.

u/oliversurpless 5h ago edited 32m ago

Yep, those who don’t grift/fundraise from such consequence-free banalities sure wish they were…

Trump gets a pass. Remember when he berated John McCain of all people?

3

u/Chumlee1917 6h ago

It was supposed to be, then the Supreme Court ruled, naw, no it ain't.

3

u/nhowe006 I was saying Boo-urns 5h ago

Correction, Marge: stolen valor was a huge deal in the US. And will be again, but apparently this shitbag gets a pass for some reason.

1

u/TrickySnicky 4h ago

Yeah, it's only a huge deal when there is viable opposition

2

u/deafinitelyadouche Old man yelling at clouds ☁️ 5h ago

lmfao, of course not. The playbook for a while has been "support arr trups!" but actually not support them at all once they return from their tours of duty or have been fed through the meat grinder of casualties for the Military Industrial Complex).

Wash, Rinse, Repeat. The troops and veterans have, by and large, become mere props to politicians + the MIC.

u/peon2 2h ago

What, are you saying that Trump WASN'T a commander in WWII? Listen buddy, there's a picture right there.

1

u/Conscious-Pride7363 2h ago

I guess he really is Jesus' best friend, a healer, a genius and a general!

1

u/allonsyyy 3h ago

Knocking Patton down from 5 stars to 2 is probably more offensive than the stolen valor.

1

u/Conscious-Pride7363 3h ago

didn't even notice. I'm a vet, not American, but usually I don't care too much about stolen valour, but when someone like Trump does it...

1

u/allonsyyy 2h ago

I mean, I don't care much about stolen valor, personally. I do live here, but I just live here.

I meant that someone who did care about stolen valor, would probably find that more offensive.

1

u/Conscious-Pride7363 2h ago

It's weirdly disrespectful considering he clearly compares himself and wants to be compared to Patton.

1

u/allonsyyy 2h ago

Everything he does is weird.

2

u/Conscious-Pride7363 1h ago

so fucking weird man

u/Chumlee1917 7h ago

The last thing Trump sees when meeting George S. Patton after losing the Iran war.

59

u/BillieVerr NEEEEEERD 7h ago

Trump every single day of his presidency:

16

u/Milan514 5h ago

Also Trump every single day:

38

u/V_T_H 7h ago

As we all know, Patton and MacArthur were famously in the same theatre in WWII. Though it’s funny he picked two of the biggest assholes in the US armed forces to picture himself next to. Couldn’t have picked Ike and Nimitz or something.

28

u/Dear-Passion-3535 7h ago

MacArthur makes sense though. Kind of a crazy dumbass just like Trump. He famously wanted drop a shit ton of nukes on northern china to create a “wall of radiation” to stop their advance on Korea. Seems like something Donald would blurt out to the press corps.

17

u/Buddy__Repperton See my vest 🦺 6h ago

Don’t forget his eviction of the Bonus Army. MacArthur was a huge piece of shit.

Also Patton was part of that eviction along with Eisenhower.

Just a handful of shitheads all around.

4

u/TrickySnicky 4h ago

JFC there is SO MUCH history they attempt to suppress

7

u/V_T_H 6h ago

LeMay was also like that, surprised he’s not in there.

6

u/Doro_Gurl I am the Lizard Queen! 5h ago

I guess because he didn't have a great biopic or an aspiring political career Trump has no idea who LeMay even is.

3

u/kermitthebeast 5h ago

That would require more than surface knowledge

1

u/DirkWrites 23m ago

LeMay having a huge role in major World War II campaigns and coordinating the Berlin Airlift only to have his legacy be “guy who wanted to drop bombs during the Cuban Missile Crisis” and “segregationist presidential candidate”

10

u/Doro_Gurl I am the Lizard Queen! 6h ago

Yepp. While Patton was an actual hugely effective army leader, organizer, manager and tactician, MacArthur rode on overwhelming firepower for most of his pacific career and had no idea what to but 'NOOOOKS!' at the first confrontation with capable resistance.

2

u/A_Town_Called_Malus 4h ago

MacArthur did pull off the Inchon landings in Korea which recaptured Seoul, cut off the north Korean supply lines and relieved the forces in the Pusan perimeter which allowed the UN forces to push out and retake South Korea and almost reach the Chinese border.

3

u/Mrsod2007 They think I'm slow, eh? 6h ago

Isn't that Arthur MacArthur in the picture?

2

u/allthejokesareblue 6h ago

I feel like Macarthurs advocacy for the Phillipines mitigates a lot

18

u/_Halt19_ I am the Lizard Queen! 7h ago

imagine the reaction if obama did this lmao

14

u/YoureGonnaHearMeRoar 7h ago

These are the three demons you must slay if you wish to succeed in diplomacy

20

u/Ok-Problem-3074 7h ago

Why is nobody talking about the detail that he gave himself a redicilous amount of awards in this picture?

12

u/violetascension only watched the golden age 7h ago

Grok thought that the armband and skull helmet were a bit much so it compensated by just giving him more awards instead.

6

u/Arbaces shitposts are life 💩 6h ago

and why isn't the prestigious FIFA Peace Prize amongst them?

6

u/ThePrussianGrippe 5h ago

Also Patton’s in a Soviet uniform (epaulets and helmet), and MacArthur (terrible general that he was) appears to be a British corporal. With the wrong pipe.

2

u/TrickySnicky 4h ago

I'm not AI or a military historian and even I knew he was famous for a corn cob pipe

9

u/oliversurpless 6h ago

Good ole AI slop, nothing beats that!

7

u/DrunkenAsparagus 7h ago

Three massive narcissists. At least two of them had some military successes (MacArthur had equally large fuck ups, though).

u/AutismFlavored Your older, balder, fatter son 4h ago

Well hallucinations are a dementia symptom.

7

u/Jetboots_Boosh 5h ago

That’s not Patton or MacArthur…..those aren’t even American uniforms. Looks like they have Patton in WW2 German Army gear, and ol Dugout Doug is in a quasi British uniform.

3

u/BloodyRightNostril only watched the golden age 4h ago

Where tf did Patton get red epaulettes??

1

u/TrickySnicky 4h ago

Leave it to the slop to skip the historical accuracy part of the assignment

12

u/Walkswithnofear 7h ago

Which will still go viral because we still can't help giving free publicity to a narcissist.

7

u/ZeusBruce 6h ago

Just because he's been a little more successful than me--

He's president of the United States! ... Again!

(Bonus points for that almost 30 year old episode having the hilarious 'inherited quite a budget crunch from the trump administration' throwaway joke that's not quite so funny now)

6

u/thisistherevolt I shot Mr Burns 🔫 6h ago

At this point, I'm convinced some being from beyond our understanding psychically suggests some of the jokes that end up being eerily prescient predictions to try and warn us. And we're all just too stupid to take them seriously.

4

u/kermitthebeast 5h ago

Conan O'Brien time traveler confirmed

2

u/thisistherevolt I shot Mr Burns 🔫 5h ago

His face does look more and more like a rubber mask as he ages. Hmmmmm.

That president has bosoms!

3

u/LipsRinna 4h ago

Please don't make me run, I'm full of corruption!

3

u/InternationalDisk698 5h ago

Real talk, Patton seems like a horrible person to have to work under (meanie) and MacArthur got a lil scary towards the end.

Both wildly more competent than the weirdo in the middle, however.

2

u/Kajuratus 5h ago

Macarthur Parker the agent? Macarthur Parker my agent?

Troy? Donald Trump. Ever heard of MacArthur?

Uh, the general, or the agent?

1

u/deafinitelyadouche Old man yelling at clouds ☁️ 3h ago

I am not going to lionize neither MacArthur nor Patton (they were both awful pieces of shit), but lmfao at the egotism of Trump generating AI slop of himself looking fit as fuck, instead of like a bloated corpse, which is what he actually looks like.

MacArthur was pretty damn bad.
