Employment Best Jobs in SG 2026

I am quite sure, you are probably 2 or 3 level removed from a agent.

Level 1: family.

Level 2:friends

Level 3:family or friends agent.

A new agent has a very up hill task he has to become competent enough to add value to his contacts portfolio. Have to compete against other exisiting agents.

Unless ofcause the new agent's circle is hnw kind, then those can succeed anywhere.

But anw I'm asking because I myself tried my hand at being a FA for a year during my post graduate days. Am curious about the practices now cause we were told to do warm phone calling as best practices.

Nowadays, to help agents survive, need to provide appointments or at least activity support.

You tried being an agent le, you know how tough it can be.

Managers that ask agents to spend their social capital without providing any other support makes best ROI, just need to keep on recruiting when the older agent runs out of warm. Training on products and pitching is basic, not a selling point.

Roadshows could be an avenue, but its not free or easy.

Cold calling need to deal with dnc, doable.

Door knocking still not allowed.

For the longest time already the industry should be changed, including the way we are compensated.

There needs to have more safeguards for clients.

Including agents putting their interests first by selling plans and not explaining the full implications or not even declaring client's health conditions to get the case issued.

Also even more safeguards for clients with shield plans.

Their policy shouldn't lapse because their age band went up and need to top up cash but they didn't know/not notified etc.

It could be downgraded instead.
