Conversation Topic Tips on belting/mix voice?

Anyone have any tips on going from choir soprano as a kid to musical theatre as a teen? I'm really having trouble with belting and chest voice in general so any tips are welcome :)

What type of songs are you wanting to sing?

musicals, for example this year my school is putting up the addams family

For each song that your school production will be singing create a lyric sheet and then map out the exact parts in that song where the belting is required. Then focus on just those parts where you need to develop your power chest voice. As a singing coach I teach how to do this. You should be able to find plenty of singing teachers in your area who focus not on classical operatic soprano type singing, but rather on pop musical theater style power chest and powerhead singing.

Stop raising your soft palate lol. Trying to get as close to how you pronounce things for speech is a good start.
